IMHO
What do you think a mid engine Vette will look like? Every mid engine car I have seen looks just like that pic. Short low front with a huge windshield and high back. I'm thinking the C7 looks better than any mid engine car on the market. This is my opinion and I'm sure there are many who really like the look of mid engine cars. Just because something is new and different doesn't mean it's better and everybody is going to like it. There may be lots of C7 owners keeping their cars much longer than they originally planned.

No matter how many renderings that come out before.....No matter what it looks like after it is revealed....the mid-engine Zora does/will do nothing for me whatsoever.....Growing up it was always Corvette as the dream car....I’ve never been a mid-engine fuckboy (Ferrari...Lamborghini...McClaren...Zora ))....my 2018 M7 ZO6 will be in my family long after I’m gone!!!!

Sorry, but I think that car is ugly.
Maybe it’s the angle.
Maybe it’s the color.
Maybe it’s just ugly...

I agree. I have no idea why so many are excited about this mid engine Vette? I know all the expensive exotic cars are mid engine but do we really want a car like the Corvette to end up looking like those? I say if you want a ME car there are plenty out there and you can buy them for a couple hundred grand. I hope they keep the C7 around for awhile so guys who want to buy a Corvette still can.

I'd wait a while for discounts, better engine choices and less bugs, past that I think the car looks great.

If I can't get 2 golf bags in a car I won't buy it. I love my C7 Z51 coupe!

Gotta love that mass production and liquidation cycles!
BINGO! You got it my friend! I'll drive the crap out of my 3rd C7 and after about two years the price will drop and I may sell my GT3 to fund one. Mid engine ONLY way to go for super car! Don't think we'll ever see a $45k C8 during model year however.

This is one of many dated notions bestowed on the world by the WWII generation that never dies regardless of how much data there is to the contrary. The intro 2014 C7 has the best reliability numbers of any C7 MY. Computer-aided design and other advanced engineering and manufacturing practices have largely eliminated that issue.

I'll be interested if it has a true DCT, not a slush box; 500+ hp; better seats than my C7; and can keep a 2LT Z51 under $80K. I wouldn't be disappointed if it was a bit of a styling rip-off of the Ferrari 488. It would have to outperform my GS in every way.

I will laugh so hard if GM has been trolling us all along and that camo car is really just an NSX with some bolt on parts. That said these cars really need to be seen in person before rendering judgement. I thought that NSX was just ok until I saw it in person and was amazed at how gorgeous they are. It was the same feeling I got when I first saw the C7 in person and the same feeling I am hoping to get when I see the C8 in person for the first time.

What he said.

I initially thought I wouldn't be in the market for this car because of the likely unavailability of a manual transmission and the fact that it probably won't be as attractive in convertible form. However, my wife is now really excited about it as her next car. She does want an auto coupe.

I custom-ordered a new plant 2018 M7 convertible as result to have the latest and greatest C7, which I plan to hold on to for awhile. It will be lovely having both in our garages.

I agree. My 2014 Stingray, 3LT, Z51, M7 and mag ride, was 100% trouble free. I never had an issue with the car, zero warranty claims.

My 18 Carbon 65 Grand Sport, 3LT, M7 is on its second warranty claim.
