On the 18th of October 2012, GM first showed us the new flags of the C7. Then in a series of trailers leading up to its debut on 1:13:13, we caught more & more glimpses of the car we all own.

Anyone think we may get the first official announcement/ teaser of the C8 this week or soon?

Yes, I think there will be teasers released by GM Marketing before the NAIAS reveal in January.

That's my thought as well. I don't think they will just unveil it without some sort of hype leading up to Detroit.

I think so. A select few thought it was going to happen last year which totally didn't make any sense given the situation with the C7 ZR1 release amongst other things. I don't think any news will come this week, but possibly sometime in November. At the very minimum, in the form of an official announcement. If it truly is a generational vehicle, they will have a press release. However, we may not actually see anything until the NAIAS.
