Default Rear View Mirror

I own a 2017 C7 LT1 and wanted to know if the rear view mirror has a speed sensor in the front window of the mirror or is it only for auto dimming???

Why would you think it has a speed sensor? What would this speed sensor do? How would it present itself to the driver?

AFAICT the notch (let's face it - it's a notch!) is for the radio antenna and the PDR on cars so equipped.

Dimming is controlled by the sensor spot on the inside rear view mirror glass.

Hmm, much easier to ask the computer about the speed! It knows!
