I was able to successfully get Waze to work with CarPlay and display on the Infotainment screen , but it appears to interfere with media playback.
When I asked the Navigation Nazzi to play an artist, she responded correctly with the artist name, then stopped working and refused to respond to steering wheel inputs and onscreen touch commands. Waze continued to work. Disconnecting the USB killed CarPlay but left the media player in a brain dead limbo... It was stuck on a single song till I cycled to the home page then back into Media... If this is "normal" behavior for CarPlay Waze, it's not much of a benefit...
