True pearl paint costs more, is harder to apply well and very difficult to repair. It’s a mass-produced Chevy, not a limited production custom car.

Well maybe not necessarily a show car pearl but I have seen cadillacs, tahoes and sierra trucks in a nice pearl white that I would like to see optioned on the stingrays!

I'm not white fan in general, however I did wonder the same thing the other day when seeing it on a Suburban.

Personally, I prefer the Bright White, Pearl has always looked "dirty" to me.
It would be VERY simple for a person to clear pearl a white car, if you are so inclined. Just think... a Mary Kay addition with a touch of pink, might me right up your alley...

Since white pearl is a 3 stage paint, it will cost $995 just like orange, LBR and yellow.
I also associate that color with people over 60, which is why you see it on Lexus, Cadillac, Lincoln and Mercedes.

FWIW, many, including me, thought tintcoat was a "3 stage" paint until a forum moderator who visited Bowling Green said why paint costs more and it was NOT 3 stage!
At least before the new paint line there were two reasons for the $995 metallic tintcoat and $495 for just tintcoat paints.
Straight tintcoat as I had on my yellow C6 was the same single clear coat but it was tinted. They had to stop the paint line, clean the clear and add the appropriate tinted clear. Than when that batch of color was finished they had to clean the tinted clear paint gun and go back to straight clear. That cost time, labor and cleaning materials (probably just flushed and scraped the mix of tinted clear and clear.) That is why they could only have a limited number of tintcoats as more would would slow overall production.
The more expensive metallic tintcoat (like the Crystal Red Metallic tintcoat on my 2014 C7) has the extra metallic paint cost and well as the tintcoat premium.

A white diamond was briefly on Corvettes color pallet for 1990 or 1991 as a ZR1 only color. However it never happened and GM pulled it off before the model year production started and NEVER came back again. I would love to see a version of white diamond with a luxury red interior and soft top.

It is interesting. I have an Altima SR in White Pearl. That's a pretty high-end luxury exotic though............ /s
I think the biggest issue for me is the lines. Pearl belongs on a rounded car. It shows off the pearl well. On the sharp lines of a C7, it doesn't seem like it would be worth the effort.

Something to consider: Insurance cost. Friend of mine was very unpleasantly surprised when he bought a KIA in pearl white and his insurance agent told him he should have called him first because of the problems with matching the paint significantly increased his insurance cost over what it would have been with more "match friendly" colors.

I'm not a fan of white vehicles, but Pearl white does look nice on the right vehicle. IMO.

Really, you associate pearl white with the over 60, thus not appropriate for a Stingray ? Have you looked at the average age of a Corvette owner ? You may have made my arguement for me !
