Pat is correct in that GM Canada does not want the cars arriving in the cold season.

If you order now your order will probably be picked up in late January for a February or March build.

It also appears that the allocation system is suspended at the moment because of diminishing demand. No one on here seems to be saying they can't order a car.

The ZO6 you found seems like it will meet your needs..

More than....LOL....

The GS I had built online with all the options I wanted was like $88k; this car is much less than that. Mrs Flex pretty much said it's 'no brainer' to get the lightly used Z06 over a factory order GS.

I asked this on your thread in the Z06 section and meant to post it here:

Is the dealer selling the car with a GM Certified Pre-Owned warranty?

no test drives unless we finalize a deal. Does that mean " bought"?

I spoke to the Sales Manager today and he said he will have the Z06 pulled out of the showroom so I can drive it tomorrow BEFORE we finalize the deal.

I get that they don't want a lot of test pilots that are bored on a Saturday and think they'll go burn some rubber in a Vette they pretend they want to buy.

You will have a terrific car! Let's hope the test drive goes well and you are driving it home! I love my Stingray, but I now realize I should have bought a Z06 with those horses and torque. You won't have to drive like a maniac to appreciate the torque. Speaking from experience here. My son has a Z06 and left it with me for a couple of months and told me to drive it while he was gone over seas. Damn!

Just curious... do you know why the tires were changed out at less than 7000 km's?

Probably because he got wider wheels...so wider tires. The car has 255 on the front and 305 on the back. I think stock is 245 and 285?

Anyway I'm not buying that car...

This was a factory order, not in stock. Salesman assured me they will have allocations available until the end of February for spring delivery.

Did you order from them? I was planning to go there but never made it. I bought another car. But looking at their prices online they seem to be way above every other dealer.

I know they are the largest volume Corvette dealer in Canada, so you'd think they'd have better pricing, but from what I see online the opposite is true.

Also I think negotiating on a factory order is a lot tougher than on lot stock.

Forget Wilson Niblett, they won't get you the best deal around here. Go visit Brian Cullen Chevrolet in St Catharines. They are the number 2 dealer and they work a lot harder to get your business than WN does. Plus they usually have a lot more new Corvettes in stock these days too (and they keep them inside a giant heated showroom, not outside in the elements like WN)

I never made it there either but when I was shopping they did have some smokin' deals. I think they also will store the car for you until April.

I decided to shop around some more and did not commit at WN, it just didn't feel right. I will check out Brian Cullen for sure, thanks! I will be going with a factory order to get exactly what I want but I felt 6% off MSRP was low, especially in the off season.

When you go there, ask for Tracy Wilks and tell him Patman sent ya! He was amazing to deal with!

That's what they told me when I ordered mine last year but luckily I didn't need to take advantage of that, as my car arrived on December the 18th, I drove it home on the 20th and a day later we got hit with a bunch of snow, but my new 2018 was safely tucked away in my garage by then.

What are the "rules" on buying one, new or used, in the US and bringing it back home to Canada?

Used isn't too difficult, but new is next to impossible. GM dealers can lose their license if they sell a new one to Canadians.

1LT is going to be your nickname since I see your white Stingray is not a GS or A Z06
