Default Dreaded A8 Torque Tube Shudder

Hello everyone,

I have a 2015 Stingray 3LT, 62k miles. A8 Transmission

Unfortunately I have a horrible noise when I turn on my car, and when it idles or goes in or out of gear; more or so sounds like a rattle. Also shutters when going 45 - 60 MPH. I've taken the car to a few places but everyone seems to shrug their shoulders at me. Under assumption it may be Torque converter, Torque Tube, Flex Plate, flywheel etc.

I am not very tech savvy. :S

Sorry to hear that! It sounds like the torque converter in regards to the shuddering. They do a transmission fluid change on that first of all to see if that fixes it. If not they usually replace the torque converter. The consensus seems to be it is due to the active fuel management, as in the car switching from V8 to V4 for fuel economy. There is a "Sticky" thread on that can of worms.
But I haven't heard of the horrible noise you mention.
Here is the latest "Shudder" bulletin:

There is another post on the forum that stated: "Was getting an intermittent grinding/scraping noise coming from under the car"
The torque tube had to be replaced. Here is a link to the thread. You don't have a Grand Sport, but could occur in a Stingray.
