Or by a range AFM disabler, that's what I did.

Besides having the torque tube replaced under warranty at 8k, I too love my ‘17 GS A8, 1LT w/Z07 Package. For the money and the performance you can’t touch this beast! I think GM also hit it out of the park with this model, bar none a great Sports Car! I also love the A8 transmission in this thing, I think GM should have bit the bullet in not doing the AFM and this would be flawless.

Not familiar with that. How much for that part and where do you replace it. Thanks. Trying to decide A8 or manual. Thank you.

Here is the manufactures website with explanation and purchase portal. If you decide to buy get from them, as you will then know it is the most recent and updated version. It plugs into the OBD port just to your left the dash where the hood release is. They are offering a discount now as well.
https://rangetechnology.com/afm-disabler/
Also here is a discussion about it on the forum. The latest device will not have error codes, CEL, and can be left in the car without draining the battery. I have never had issues with my A8, but started using this with 37,000 miles on the car as sort of an insurance policy if you will. I now have 82,000 on it and all is perfect!

ONE SWEET RIDE!
Yesterday was the Stingrays 5 birthday. It came off the line at 11:30 on 13 Nov 13 with me riding shotgun. It now has over 50,000 wonderful miles on it with no major issues. Z-51 with Mag Ride and M7 in Limerock Green sporting CHROME wheels makes it a little slice of Heaven!
I have had cars from MG, Jaguar, Mercedes, Alfa, BMW, Honda, Acura, MINI and Ferrari and by far the C7 Stingray is the most enjoyable car of the group. Just an amazing piece of engineering and sculpture!
We have it mainly for long distance touring and it is a joy to drive and the coupe has space for all our gear. With the fuel economy of running in V4 you have your cake and eat it too.
All the best to those who get your Stingray out and "Find New Roads". Don't save it for the next guy.

I love mine despite having the A8 shutter problem. The fluid change and a Range device seems to have solved the problem. Otherwise no issues at all. Fun, Fast and it's great to have all the bells and whistles of a modern car.

Definitely proud of my 2017 Grand Sport 2LT purchase alongside the advice that I've received over the past almost 2 years since signing up here. Got the final clean / detailing job last week, and after looking at it last night - really going to miss driving it as I officially put it in hibernation today Much like a few others that posted here, I ordered mine which makes the purchase all the more satisfying. Can't wait for a) Spring and b) Michigan to fix these roads for 2019. Not necessarily in that order.

Special props to Motor City Auto Spa - they did an outstanding job Probably will go to them for my annual year end cleaning. As of this post, my vehicle should be on their Facebook front page.

This is almost verbatim what I was going to write! I've a 2016 Z06 I picked up in December '16 and just rolled over 21,000 miles. Most enjoyable daily driver I've had and I just put the Michelin A/S 3+ on my car as well to keep driving it in the cooler wet weather we're prone to in Washington state. No issues - just an awesome car to drive.

In May 2015 I bought a 2015 Stingray with Z51 and M7 off of the dealers showroom floor. Absolutely blown away and loved that Corvette. Never any problem!
Only one reason that I got rid of it -I visited this dam site too much, and decided that I may want to bump up the LT1 HP.
My wife pointed out that it may make more sense to get the one that has the higher HP.
So I ordered a 2019 Z06 M7 and took delivery in May 18 -so far so good, got my HP bump and still no complaints at all!

2015 with Z51
