I think you are stating the most popular presumption, but I think it is inaccurate. The new generation is always more expensive and sold at MSRP or above. That step increased pricing actually increases used prices of the previous generation for about a year or so.

I don't see larger discounts on18's. I see 18's for the same price as 19's.Does not make sense! One dealer told me they were very aggressive on their discounts with $8,000 off on a 18.

I have mine listed for sale.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-st-louis.html

The reason for my sale is that when I ordered my car in March 18’ the Elkhart Blue was not available. Now that it is, I would like to sell mine and order an EB Z06.

There simply is not a better car for the money than the Z06 IMO.

I have toyed with selling mine. It is 25 months old and only has 9000 miles. Given that mileage, which is fairly typical for a Z06, it is a toy not a real necessary conveyance. I have a sedan for that task. I likely will not sell it as I have taken the big front end depreciation and I still love the car when I get a chance to drive it, but with low mileage being the norm in Corvette Land many people simply get practical and decide to sell a depreciating asset. That is a real boon to those that might be somewhat price limited. Where else can you get a low mileage cream puff for a big discount to MSRP??

All good & valid points. I've taken the front AND back end depreciation on my C5Z (have owned since new), and def. love driving the car! It only has ~38k miles...which means it certainly doesn't get driven enough. Hope to always be able to hang onto it, if anything just for sentimental reasons.

I look forward to one day stepping up to a "cream puff" used C7Z coupe, preferably grey w/kalahari leather....

Default Z06 Sales

My Z06 is not for sale and never will be unless my son sells it when I pass it on to him in a few years.

Look for same next year this time of year. It's normal change-over time. Winter pending & 2020 pending. When the MSRP is as high as it is, they can afford to give you incentives to buy in the off-season.
