Default Show me your Forgeline rims

I have a 2019 black Grand Sport, 5 bent rims and one cracked in 15 weeks of owning the car.
Who bought forgeline rims, and did it solve the bending/cracking problems?

Wow. That stinks! Just wondering... How did you discover the bent rims?

I have a very long story that I’m getting ready to post.
This is total BS for a brand new car!

Stay tuned... get a drink, smoke or a bag of popcorn.

I purchased 5 sets of wheels from Gerry this year, all FORGELINE, one set for my Z06, one set for my ZR1, one set for my turbo s Porsche, one set for my Callaway Tahoe, and one set, well you'll just have to wait to see those. , Gerry has been great to deal with, and no more bent wheels on my Chevy's

Ditch the factory wheels! I bent 5 and cracked one OEM wheel with around 12k miles on the clock. I've never had this issue with any of my prior vehicles. I decided on a beautiful set of Forgeline wheels from Gerry at CW4L and haven't looked back. Yes they aren't cheap but I wanted to enjoy my car vs being gun shy taking it out and risk bending another wheel. Gerry was great to deal with and I love my new wheels.

Wish I could show them to you.....I am patiently waiting for Gerry to ship my set of VX1R's.....
Sorry to hear (read) about your issues, after reading so much about bent and cracked rims I went ahead and ordered a set (at a great holiday price I might add). After 2700 miles I haven't experienced any issues with my factory rims but I'm being proactive and swapping them out as fast as possible.
Good luck and hang in there! Get some Bose wireless headphones to listen to on that morning Judas Priest drive!!!!

Thanks! It needs a bit more "low" but my driveway entrance likely wouldn't agree with that. Time for a new house....

Thanks. These are Forgeline VX1R in the factory sizes. I actually liked the VX1 style a bit more but I wanted a track rated wheel as this car will see the road course every now and again. Give Gerry at CW4L (forum sponsor) a shout as he knows the fitment.

I bought the Forgeline VX1s from Gerry and went with a custom shade he recommended called "Dark Smoke." I love the way they look and the color - the brighter the day, the lighter they look (and darker with less light).

Here are my AR1s in Transparent Smoke finish. I mounted these right after delivery so I never had any issues with cracked rims, but I couldn’t help but notice the better quality and finish of the Forgeline wheels. Stock sizes and offset. Gerry at CW4L set me up. Great guy!

Nice post. I've thinking about replacing my factory wheels as well. Not because I've bent a wheel, I just want something different. To those that replaced your wheels on nearly new cars did you replace tires as well? Or moved tires? Thanks

My tires were almost toast so I just decided to go with new rubber. If your tires are good and you are selecting new wheels the same size as the ones you have, swap them over. The shop installing may charge you some additional fees for the dismount.

i have the Z07 package so I removed my stock wheels and Cup tires and stored them for the occasional track run and trade-in day.
