Very simple. You screwed up. You pay for it. This should NOT be an issue. Let it go.

This whole "incident" reminds me of an Abbott and Costello routine. Four, no three. Three, no four. OP- are we talking millions here? I agree with the thread consensus. Pay it. It was your mistake.

Melting Slicks
I have been E-Mailing a sponsored seller on this site and we are not agreeing on the shipping fees. As this is still being handled civilly on both sides I won't mention who it is. I bought an item from him, he charged my credit card for the item AND SHIPPING. It was the wrong item for my car, my fault. I have offered to pay for the correct part and shipping and to pay for shipping for the incorrect part (new, unopened) back to him if he will refund my first payment. He has agreed to refund my money for the item, but not the shipping.
My contention is that I will be paying shipping for four items being shipped, while only three are actually being shipped.
1. I payed him for shipping the original item.
2. I will pay to ship the original item back, unopened, new.
3. I will pay for a new, correct item, and it's shipping.
4. Why do I not get a refund on the original item and it's shipping cost. I already paid for the shipping costs, he didn't. Why shouldn't I get a refund on the cost of the original item's shipping cost, which I already paid?
Please tell me I'm wrong and why?

You asked the question. EVERYONE on this thread has told you you are wrong. Your math is wrong. You have been unable to show this mythical fourth shipping charge, but you continue to argue with us. Why? You ASKED to be told you are wrong. Well, you are wrong. Stop arguing.

gotta go with the majority - you admit the "wrong" item arriving is not the result of incorrect markings or packaging at the vendor end....
Since the vendor sent exactly what you asked for, and it was not broken or defective (ala warranty return), refunding shipping is not the vendors responsibility.
At least the vendor isn't charging you a restocking fee.

Just remembered a recent transaction - I got a mount for my Valentine V1 and took that and a few carbon fiber mods to the dealer to have it all installed. When I picked up the car the mount was not installed and a note was included from the mechanic saying that parts were missing. Comparing the parts returned to the diagrams included didn't match up at all for me either. So I wrote the seller and he agreed to send me the proper unit and even included a paid shipping sticker to return the old device. No fuss, no muss.
Now this might be different because I didn't admit to ordering the wrong part (I don't think I ordered the wrong part) but the added paid return shipping sticker was a nice touch and I appreciated it.

That's easily doable on a radar detector mount that costs almost nothing to ship. We don't know what he OP ordered but it must have been something that cost a lot to ship or why put up such a fuss.

you could just walk away from the whole mess, don't even order the 'correct' part, forget it....later you can sell the wrong part here or on ebay or use it for trading bait at a car swap meet, or whatever

If you would of ordered it for a camaro and wanted it for a v1 I guarantee you would of not got a prepaid label.
