I had some low profile aluminum louvers on my 1977 280z. I loved them.

I saw a set of aluminum louvers for the C7 and just thought, "Why?"

If there were a set built very close to the glass with many, more than three to five louvers slats, I might be a buyer.
Anything to limit the amount of sunlight into the car is good for me.

These just look like a cheap after thought.

The OP hasn't come back pimping them. I wonder why?

Don't like the OP's louvers. I like mine... leaving myself open to

Keeps the car much cooler in the 110 degree Texas summers.

Those look bad too, but not as bad as the OP's. Window tint can keep your interior much cooler without the louver look. Modern tints can reject most of the IR and virtually all UV with very little darkening effect if you don't want the "tinted look".

lol, I like them, reminds me of my 1984 trans am. Of course I don't think it would help with seeing out the back and side windows. Then again, I have a convertible, so it's not something I would ever get for myself.

agapsdiver,

Have you seen this new stuff to help keep the heat out?
It's called w-i-n-d-o-w tint...

However, when in doubt, dare to be different! Your louvers do look better than the squshed ones that the dinosaur stepped on that the OP posted.

I remember the well made aluminum ones (or maybe they were metal) that came from the factory on the late 60's / early 70's fastback Mach 1 Mustangs. I remember thinking they were pretty weird, and also a mixed feeling that were sort of cool.

There are rear window louvers that are just straight slats without the kinks of these. They don't look half bad as such things go, but I still think that they look too much like a blast from the past, and $700 is way too much to reduce one's rear visibiilty.

One of the things I like about the Corvette is that it lacks fake intakes and scoops......everything on the car is functional and purposeful. These louvers are just "extra". They're like the fake side scoops on a '90s Mustang GT.

Those red ones on that vette look low quality...

Something closer to the Lamborghini versions would look much better.

Yours look good... I like'em.

Im sure they help block a lot of HOT sunlight heat during the summer time.
