My question is why would you put a deposit down on a car without a signed contract? Sounds to me you left yourself wide open and have no one to blame but yourself if they do not refund the money.

That said, if they are a stand up dealer and no order was submitted to Bowling Green (in other words you were buying a car from current dealer inventory) they should refund the money.

Is my CC bank the only one that sends a text message when they see a large transaction, giving me the opportunity to decline the charge before they accept it?

Duh.....
