Before GM / Mary's customer service ream does anything they are very likely going to want you to bring it to a dealer first. Give them a first chance to try to respond, then escalate. Going right to the top first isn't always the best approach IMHO.

I believe the fix would be to remove the back end to remove the spoiler so the body can be repainted.....If the GM person see's this post...please IM me.....thanks
Have you asked them? If you haven't you don't know what they will do. Take the car to them acknowledge you know the car is out of warranty, show them the problem and ask what they can do for you. A lot of times a GM Representative will decide to provide Goodwill Warranty coverage for problems like this. Goodwill coverage has a lot to do with personalities and the relationship you have with the dealer. Given the number of forum members there are probably several hundred if not more that have had something like this handled to their satisfaction.

UPDATE.....Actually she DID reply yesterday....someone from her office CALLED and EMAILED me, Ms. Barra sorrow for my problem and that she wanted to make sure it was taken care of.....while I was on the line she contacted the dealer I WANTED to do the work and stood by while I made an appointment with the Body Shop Manager to look at it .... After that was done, I asked if it would in fact be covered by GM and she said YES.....as far as a loaner car...that would have to be between the Dealer and Me.....I am very HAPPY to say that after ONE day of sending the Email I am getting the problem resolved.....

OH NO !!! You are going to have non-factory paint on your car !!! I would sue GM for diminished value !!!

Keep the faith....

Emailing the CEO did get results.....they do listen...you never get directly to them.....they have aides that try to keep us happy...

i have emailed the last 2 CEO’s with different problems (1 corvette related and 1 Cadillac related) and both issues were taken care of...

Enjoy your Holidays..

I am happy to report that GM sent a PAINTED NEW REAR BUMPER to Dimmitt Chevy in Clearwater,m Fl where they installed it in one day...They included NEW emblems...That paint match is PERFECT and GM picked up the entire bill including the loaner even though it was 4 mo's out of warranty....
