Let us know what they say. It's been a few years since I spoke with them about it. Phil brought up a good point about rates increasing after a collision claim, so it might be worthwhile to ask about that, too.

Have you checked the inner rim? Many cracks have formed there.

DanG376, please keep us posted. I too contacted GM recently and am curious how they handle our issues.

Just received a call back from GM Executive Resolution Team. I was told that they was no issue and the bent rims were a road hazard issue and turn it into my insurance company. But they did offer me a $100 certificate to be used at my local Chevrolet dealer. I was told that the case was being closed and they thanked me for contacting them.

I am so pissed off at this point I am not sure what the next step would be.....

I'm shocked. With such a sterling track record, we should expect better.

As if closing the case makes the problem go away. Nice.

Another approach would be to contact your local congressman/woman. That will get some attention. The FCC and probably the NHTA would be forced to address this issue at a high level. Not what GM wants to hear.

FCC? I think they already have their hands full with DirecTV and Howard Stern complaints.

Well for me, the dealer quoted it at $1,200. That seemed like a lot to me seeing as I have never had an issue with bent or cracked wheels. I did not know about this issue when I purchased the car, so buying the insurance just didn't make sense. If I knew then what I know now

$1200? I pretty sure I only paid around $750 for 5 years of coverage on the wheels. Given the cost to replace was around $600 or more a pop and hearing all the issues, I felt it was a good deal.

It's not road hazard and why would you want to keep replacing one bad set with another....the issue is with the wheels.....They used the same wheel up till 2013 and guess what no issues....

The screen capture below is why i didn't Bent wheels may be able to be repaired. The big issue is cracked wheels.

I like you did not know. Mine have not cracked yet. So I looked at getting tire and wheel protection plan. The GM Plus plan is not much use for a cracked wheel.
