Is it Spring yet? How is the weather in your neck of the woods?

Nice. I've had the Z in my driveway since last Thursday. I had to take our boys to family on Christmas Eve so I had to go fetch the Charger, but I took an uber there so I could keep the Vette here; took 2 of my sons for rides in it Christmas Eve they hadn't seen it yet.. I've got the Charger parked next door in the high-school parking lot now. I'll probably put the Z back in the storage unit on Tuesday before I go back to work on Wednesday. If driven with some common sense it's fine.

That's why I never really "store" my C7 (or my C6 and C5 before it) I keep it fully insured, and have always kept it in my own garage so that at a moment's notice I can bring it out for a drive. I know a few guys up here that put their cars in storage in a separate location as early as the end of October, then took the insurance off (keeping fire and theft coverage of course), and they are probably regretting it now as they've missed out on many great opportunities to drive them.

It's 51 degrees here right now and I'm dying to take mine out for a spin but it rained a lot last night and was drizzly this morning, and the roads just aren't drying off quickly enough today. Hopefully they don't dump salt on the roads tonight, then I can take it out for a spin tomorrow (it'll be colder but no precipitation is in the forecast) I put another coat of Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish on the paint in the meantime

A follow up on the Michigan day that just passed: It did hit 50 degrees, and got as hot as 56 around 3PM. But "Michigan" happened, and it dropped to 33 degrees around 8PM. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. I didn't take my C7 out, but I will have to change my tabs tomorrow morning so that I don't forget.
But good news: They're planning on reopening all of I-696 as soon as January 7th. And might I add, it's about time. Tired of seeing our state flag on the road (the orange traffic cone).

Weather update. Suppose to get down to 36 here in the desert tonight. But, up to 60 tomorrow. Last year at this time it was the low 70's. Average is 62. To think is was over a 100 just 12 weeks ago! I'll just have to suffer.

It was 53 here yesterday! Today only got up to 36 though, but the sun came out and the roads weren't salted last night so I just got back from a 93 mile drive. It still kinda feels like winter is cancelled here, but nonetheless my wife and I are going to thoroughly enjoy our 5 day trip to Veradero Cuba next week to get some real warmth (and drink Pina Coladas on the beach!)

Too cold to go out
Now its officially winter in VA..snow storm coming and governor declaring state of emergency so the C7 is safe and sound today. Ony about 37 to 40 and raining so I drove the f150.
I went to Hampton Roads Auto show and checked out some new cars..Porsche and jaguar..there was a jaguar there resembling a Corvette even down to the rear opening hood and the center console hand hold.
I didn't snap any pics..they did have one 19 grandsport and there was about 3 or 4 kids climbing in and out of it. LOL..they were having a ball.
I was hoping to chat someone up about the next generation but it was packed.
Oh well spring is just 2 months away and wont have too much to update hope to be out there everyday in the good weather.

It was one below zero in Central New York this morning on the north shore of Oneida Lake near our NY home. Fortunately, we relocated to our Florida home the first few days of January, and will be here through at least mid-April. It was in the high 70s and just delightful here today in the St. Pete/Clearwater area. Life is good, this is what the wife and I each worked over 40 years for.
