Default 2017 GS 2LT Question

Were the red parts on this engine standard in a 2017 GS 2LT or an added accessory from the factory? Thank you.

aftermarket. Nice! There is a vendor on this forum that offers similar covers. He can customize to the paint color of your ride. Looks so much better than stock.

I'm learning so bear with me. Is this a nice addition? Does it add value or is lead to issues? Thank you.

Personal preference. It doesn’t add value. Just for looks

Yeah it looks great. When you make any type of mod on a car, do it because you like it. Don't do something cause you think it will add value cause many times it does not. Many people who mod their vehicle will keep the original parts and store them. They'll offer to pass along the parts to the new owner if they ever sell their vehicle or they will even reinstall these parts for the new owner..

It's been modded. Not everyone values mods. The absence of mods is a lot more valuable to many. Bone stock, is that preference in car parlance.

The engine does look nice, but as said it add no value. However, that doesn't stop many of us here from getting bitten by the mod bug.

The funny thing is a dealer will not offer you anything extra for a mod like that. But as you see that same dealer will hype that mod, and ask more for a car with them. They're sneaky that way.

I did mine because I just love the way it looks...when I trade this car I will reinstall the stock parts and sell these.

Those pieces are aftermarket, but I think they look great.
