Waze not showing up on Carplay...What do you need?

What version on iphone and on Waze will work?
Anyone know?

You need the latest Waze version as well as iOS version

just try to re-download the app from the store if you have the latest it won't re-download, and check your phone to make sure there aren't any updates waiting. ez pz

The ignorance to not answer a specific question is unnerving..
Guys, I'm NOT asking what to do, I'm asking for the VERSION #'s of the iphone and Waze app that will enable Waze to work!

Nothing else, just the version #'s of your phone and of Waze that you are using to get Waze to function in your car..

I asked for the version #'s of whats working for my fellow forum members, and you're telling me what to download/update etc..
I appreciate that but I can do that. But I want the version #'s of whats working.. Yes, I'm ignorant of what versions will work and thats what I need.. "the latest" is not helping me....

Try removing Waze and then reinstall the latest version. That’ll fix it for you

Waze version 4.46.1 and iOS 12.1.2 works

All worked since iOS 12.0 and Waze 4.43.4. Those are the minimums that supported Waze on CarPlay not including betas (which were an entirely different story)

were you on the ios 12 beta program? If so remove that cert and do an iOS update, then reinstall the waze app and it will work

I'm still using an old iPhone 6 with IOS 12.1.2 and the latest version of Waze, and CarPlay works great with both Waze and Google Maps. Every version of IOS 12 has worked since Waze and Google released new CarPlay compatible versions several months after IOS 12 was released.

I've been comparing the two, and Google Maps seems to have caught up with Waze in terms of fast rerouting around gridlock. Running them both simultaneously almost always produces the same route for me in DC traffic hell. That wasn't the case a couple of years ago. I suppose that's not surprising since Google acquired Waze a couple of years ago. The only difference is Waze provides alerts, some of which aren't timely or useful. However, many times they are.
