Maybe. I won't if there is only a mid-engine offered and there is no luggage space. We take the car for long trips and carry luggage. If there is a C8 w/o the midengine similar to what I have now, then yes, no luggage space, no buying the car.

No for me if it is going to look anything like the renderings, which I have a hunch it will. When it comes to a sport car the first thing I look at is appearance and styling. If it misses there I'm done. I was going to consider it if I liked the styling, but it would have to have as much storage space as the C7. There has been only one Corvette generation I passed on because of styling, and that was the C4. Looks like the C8 is going to be the second.

Depends on if they offer a convertible that looks good and leaves enough storage room for a couple suitcases/duffel bags or golf clubs.

I voted "no", but that is a little too definite for me right now as I don't know enough about it to say for sure. As it stand, the wife and I aren't interested in a mid-engine car. So, we decided to buy a new GS Vert, and brought it home last week. If as time passes the mid-engine cars prove out reliable, and we like the looks there may be one the the driveway.

Geez, I just bought my very first vette , a magnificent Z06 M7. For me its a second car so it will be quite a while before I am in the market again but if i were I would wait at least 2 years after release to consider. I would evaluate the C8 like I did the C7, styling/performance......................

Right now my plan is to keep my '18 M7 Z07 long term. If I like the styling of the C8, it ends up having a proper DCT, & when they come out with the higher hp version during the 2nd or 3rd year (whatever they end up calling it) then I'd like to get one to park next to my current car. But nothing usually goes according to plan for me so who knows how things will actually turn out. Several years from now I might not even own a Vette at all.

When it comes out, no. I probably won't be able to afford it. Hopefully at some point the answer turns to yes.

I'm ready for a new vette for the spring and was hoping to get the C8. Now that it will be delayed and there is a good chance the Vert won't be coming out the same time as the coupe...I plan on ordering a 2019 so it's here for Spring 2019, hang on to it for 3 years and by that time, hopefully the C8 vert will be out and they will have the bugs worked out....maybe even less than list price by that time.

Yes at some point. How many people said they wouldn't trade their C6 in for a C7 back in 2013? I can't buy it because it doesn't have round tail lights? Like every new generation of Corvette, it will grow on you at some point in time. The C8 will either be the biggest success in Corvette history or the biggest flop? There will be no in between? I think it will be the best Corvette yet?

I’ll have to wait to see what it looks like, but most likely yes!! I hope it keeps some of the traditional Corvette looks tho and not look like every other mid engine, if it indeed is a mid engine

Never happen, not before the fifth production year, like with my other Vettes. And, can you imagine taking it to the local Shivey dealer for work... of any sort?

Besides, do you think GM or anyone who works for them will have any more concern for, or care about C8 customers and their issues than any other vehicle they pawn off? As Henry Ford is purported to have told the unexpected Rolls rep who came to see him about the RR Ford had bought, "What?! When I sell a car I never want to see 'em again!"

I voted no I have only had my C7 for a year and I can always upgrade in a few years to a newer one. I just think mid engine makes maintenance so much more expensive and even though the C7 is complicated a ME would so much more complicated just my opinion. Hopefully Chevy will get the leather dash problem fixed on the C8 too
