Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. GM and Michelin spent a gazillion dollars developing the OEM tire. Works for me. I ponied up for another set of OEMs. Because who really can tell one high end tire from the other on the way to WalMart? Or Starbuck's? Though the naysayers will claim some kind of GM conspiratorial cabal to deceive you no doubt. When you get to 20K, you are far nearer the end of the tunnel than the beginning.

I'm on my third set of OEM tires... they're good for between 30K-35K.... I changed to my third set at about 70K miles. I now have 10K on these tires - they look, ride, and drive fine.... I expect to be around 100K before I need my next set. I drive a lowly C7 with nearly all the goodies.

Would help a lot if folks mentioned which car and tire sizes they are talking about. Stingray non Z51 with 18/19 or GS with Z07 are going to be very different lifespans.

Z51 changed at 28K miles. My dealer said I drive pretty aggressively and I had some negative camber just by the look of them. Ordered replacements through Tire Rack. I'm currently sitting at just over 40K with the new set of OEM MPSS.

Z51 with first set that lasted approximately 35,000 miles. I don’t baby my car so I bought another OEM set from Discount Tire. Why mess up a good thing? Rotate every oil change and keep an eye on alignment and you’ll be happy.

Sorry I should have specified which model...
I have a 2019 with 10k miles and my tires look worn out. Like slicks worn out. 🤷🏼*♀️
I just ordered michelin-pilot-sport-as-3--zp
These have more tread and I feel like I need that because of driving in the rain a lot.
I guess we will see how they drive/ride compared to the OEM..., if I don’t like them I can always swap back.

Which OEM tires?
Base?
Z51?
Grand Sport with Pilot Sports?
Grand Sport with Cup 2?
All different tires, all different characteristics

I have a 2019 GS with Michelin pilot super sport ZP. I think that’s correct... it’s the summer only tire.
Theres several reasons I dislike them.
One is they pick up grit and sling it and I hear it in my tire wells. Two is they look bald to me. Three the tires hop when I’m turning in the colder temps. Four the steering is jerky to me.
Hopefully I’ll have them mounted the first of next week and I’ll report back.
I’m waiting on some bent OEM rims to be replaced so I can get my new forgelines and tires put on.

1. lol it's a sports car and they're sticky tires.
2. they look bald or they are bald? It's a sport tire- not a truck tire. It's not going to have super deep or super wide treads
3. That's Ackerman (sp?) which is suspension geometry and not your tires.
4. That's because of your alignment and tire width, not tire compound/brand. Wider tires "track" in the road more and having more aggressive camber and toe will cause it to track a lot more.

Depends on how you drive and if aligned properly. I got 13,000 on my originals. I get 30,000 on Michelin A/S 3plus ZP. I'm on my third set of those. Same alignment on all sets of tires from originals to the Michelin A/S 3plus ZP.
I drive aggressive and hard.

I thought you are not supposed to do that with Radials as they take a set ....and now you are reversing that rotation
if they were same size, then front to back is fine but never on the same axle ...

The newer Michelin's are not directional.
They can go from side to side.
I love the feel of the AS3+ in the rain!
They just feel like a tire on dry roads. I get stuck in a lot of rain. And snow.

I appreciate the feedback on the AS tires. Once it quits raining here I’m gonna snap a pic of my tread.
I have to remember I drove 13 weeks on bent front rims so the vibration probably wore them out.
I am CLUELESS about the alignment on this car. I’ll let them look at it when I have my new wheels put on it. It’s never been changed from when I drove it off the dealership lot 18 weeks ago so it very well could be that. But that tire hop didn’t start til right st 10,000 miles....and the same time the temps dropped here.

Why do people who really don’t understand respond. As has been stated a gazzilion times, “non directional “ or “assymetrical “ tires can be moved from left to right only, when front/rear tires are different ratios/sizes. They don’t have to be remounted. They are stamped on sidewalls “this side out” so hopefully some tire jockey doesn’t break them down & remount wrong. Our OEM tires are made with the outside & inside edges made differently for cornering & stability so MUST be mounted correctly or serious problems will occur. Don’t mean to hurt feelings but spreading bad info can have serious problems for those who son’t take the time to use google before responding. Look up definition of different types of directional tires. I’m certainly not an expert but have researched this a couple of times.
