C7.R Sim Racing
Hey guys,
I have been Sim racing for many years as I love all aspects of performance cars in general.
I built a motion sim a couple years ago that also uses VR (Virtual Reality) and bass shakers for tactile feedback.
Below is a link of a quick race I did a year ago in the C7R at Road America racing against AI... Although real people racing is much more challenging...
Hope you enjoy!
Also the link below is a video of the actual motion sim movement for those interested.
Anybody in the Tampa area is welcome to come try it out sometime if you would like... It really is a trip!

Not to bad price wise when you build yourself....
I could replicate what I have here (with some 2nd gen improvements of course) computer, VR, all inclusive for about 8k
This in the commercial market would go for 18k upward!

Funny you should mention that. My son bought me Grand Turismo for xmas and lent his ps4 game counsel. All I have been doing is racing since xmas eve. The simulation is amazing. I have all sorts of GTLM cars and also some Prototypes. Man the speed you get up to in this sim is mind boggling. I can't think about it or I crash. The C7.R race car is amazing. Love it. That setup you have is sick. All I have right now is the game controller. Are you using two feet, one for throttle, and one for brake? Paddle shifting I assume? I'd love to have the full setup. My buddy used to do that with 8 guys using a network with a hub. They were really into it.

Yes, three peddles if needed, H shifter, Sequential or paddles (based on what the real car uses)

Okay, any of you rich guys get stuck on what to get me for Christmas next year, there it is!
Very Thanks for sharing. I'm worn out. That's more engaging than watching the real cars run.

That looks amazing. I used to play a bunch of Gran Turismo back in the day. Right now I'm pretty content with driving my car.

C7.R is my only car I race on Project Cars 2, my Logitech G29 wheel, Playseats seat in front of a 55" 4K. ...that's when I get it fired up with my Oculas Rift. An amazing experience to be sure! I'll hold onto the Rift for awhile, waiting for new VR gear with better resolutions.
