Fairly simple, take off the targa top, peel back the wheatherstrip and unscrew a few torx bolts.

ok, I've done it. Here's the problem. There are stainless steel 'runners' or channels inside pillar that lend structure to the rubber weatherstrip. They DO NOT come with replacement A pillar covers....no vendor has ever offered a complete package....you must reuse your current ones. Sadly, there are no part numbers on the runners..you cannot buy them separately. Now, they are riveted in place to keep the fastener height down to achieve a flat, smooth fit. you will have to drill out the rivets and either re-rivet the new parts, or somehow fit/find a flat nut/bolt combination equal to the height of the rivet assembly. At this point, I gave up on mine and sold them. Also, the body color does not line up well at the top where the A pillar meets the roof panel...you can see this on your current setup...there is also a depressed line on the A pillar piece that is absent on the roof....just doesn't look proper. Put another way, if you switch your exterior colors to torch red, and your top is torch red there will be a noticeable interruption to the flow of the lines....hope this helps.

we are both correct. My input begins after the torx screws are removed.....that's the easy part.

You absolutely can buy the runners. I bought them from Chevrolet. You apparently cannot buy the rivets that attach the runner to the appliqué but it’s an easy guess at the hardware store. Call your Chevy dealer. If they can’t find the runner part number go to trunkmonkeyparts.com and call them. That’s where I got mine.

You can do this install yourself, but there is not a good video of it yet. Perhaps someone could make one.

Why not just have a good body shop paint your black ones. I usually drive with the top on and I have the CF top. I always thought the black A pillars made the car look like something is missing or that GM took a short cut. All of the other exotic cars I have seen have the A Pillar painted to match the car. I went to the body shop that installed my Xpel and asked them to paint the A pillars torch red to match the car. They only charged $200 including removal and re-installation. I'm much happier with the look. Way cheaper than the the aftermarket ones and you know they fit perfectly.

that's good news. I still wonder why the vendor selling them decided to omit the runners.....😕 I would use a small nut/bolt assembly, and stay away from the rivets.
