Interior - if you only want one. Such a major improvement over the C6 (and C5). Some of the biggest complaints about the C6 was its bland, cheap interior. Although the C6 was only slightly better than the C5, the C7 just took the Corvette "interior" to a whole new level of style, class and innovation. To me - before the C7, a Corvette always had a "Chevy" interior...(but truth be told, I'm still in love with the computer gadget looking C4 dash gauges from the mid to late 80's)...

C7 of the Year - Unmodified Finalist 2021
C4 of Year Finalist (performance mods) 2019
I much prefer the styling to the base C6. Upgraded C6 models are edgier, so I like them considerably more.

Interior styling and seats are easily at the top for me.
Tech package is second.
Exterior styling is a close third. I like that the base C7 looks pretty damn aggressive. The base C6 was plain and underwhelming. C6Z and GS were a lot better.
I was considering a C6 GS with the plan to eventually upgrade to a C7 GS later. But I decided to just go for a C7 Z51 now rather than waiting and spending the entire time wishing I had a C7.

The whole package, style, interior, performance, the C7 just makes the C6 look dated and no doubt it is.

I will probably catch hell here but after 6 months with my C7 z51 I miss my C6 base car.
I feel the C6 was just a more comfortable better riding daily driver. And looks being subjective I prefer the styling of the C6.
Its not to say the C7 is not a bad car. It’s great. But I have just not been able to bond with it. I will probably sell it in the next couple months.

Finally got away from the ridiculous infatuation with round tail lights.

I kind of miss my C6 too. No stinkin' V4 mode AFM BS on the LS3! Plus the A6 on the C6 did not have to be replaced with 100 miles on the clock like my C7 did. I don't think GM will ever fix the A8.
Sure, the interior of the C7 is much more like the cockpit feel from the C4 days which I missed greatly, and the updated C7 electronics are better of course. Love those Competition Seats in the C7! And of course all the CF body aluminum chassis on the C7.

Preparation met opportunity. I was ready to consider buying a new Corvette after watching the C7, unveiling 2013, and reading about it here on CF. After decades of antiquated low quality, power, and grotesque styling, the C7 hits it out of the park for the Corvette label. The C6 is embarrassingly dated to even consider after a thorough inspection of the C7.

The C7 isn't as ugly, at least not in all black!

And the C6 was a great sports car in its own right. But the C7 took it to where you can make a serious comparison to cars from Porsche with a much straighter face than in the past.

My C5 interior feels very plastic compared to my C7 3LZ interior. Although the C6 interior improved with better color options and materials, I still like the overall design of the C5 interior over the C6 interior, which IMO borrowed too many components from other GM cars including the Malibu steering wheel.

Fit and finish on the interior is much better than my C6. Always bothered me that the fit on the center molding above the radio had different gaps on the right and left. Looked like it met the dash on an angle.
