Why all the rants about too much power?
I seem to read daily about someone saying that the Z06 and ZR1 is just for bragging rights. This seems to come from base car owners as well as GS owners. Why the jealousy? These same people will brag that they own a C7 to a mustang owner. Since when is 460 HP the perfect amount of power for anyone?

I know exactly how much power is enough...
answer: A little bit more!
I love big HP cars, and this thread makes me miss my ZL1 1LE a little LOL....

It's just the way of the car world. I'm a more mature guy (re: old), and it's been that way for as long as I can remember. Remember what Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor says, "MORE POWER".

Cant have enough HP!... Funny though I wonder as most members on this site are over 65 and do "they" use such power and where (or is it an ego thing)? Like I said can't have enough HP, but can you please drive in the right lane if you don't use that power?

I must have missed the threads where posters are ranting about too much power. What's best; 455, 460, 650, 755 HP, no absolute answer? Like so many things, totally up to individual preference. Personally, handling, breaking, management of HP (regardless of quantity) thus overall driving experience is most important to me. Good discussion topic.

I totally regret buying a 460 HP rig. I should have bought the Z06. My son has a Z06. He left it with me for two months and told me to drive it. I did to the tune of about 2,500 miles. Now I want to throw rocks at my Stingray. It's not just the HP. The torque feels so good. And another thing. You can pass other cars significantly faster with that extra 190 HP. A lot safer.

So, the Z06 may leave me "behind quickly", but I'll leave most others on the street behind. Doesn't bother me in the least. Not everyone needs or can or should handle 650 hp.
It's what makes the world go round, don't ya think? Now let's all join hands and sing Kumbaya.
