Thank you Mike for another wonderful Sunday delivery thread. Oh, the so happy ZR1 owner. That was a really nice collection of pictures of that delivery.

So many other wonderful pictures too. I also however have a soft spot for big-n-littles and also for a Corvette drag racer lifting off its wheels on a run. So putting the two together in one picture..., makes it my today’s favorite one.

Though putting the 20mm wrench and the 19mm next to its was super cleaver!

Default New incoming President of GM Mark Reuss and the Mike Furman connection

Furman-Reuss connected at the hip:

Another insightful Mike Furman sales and delivery thread this week.

On another note...... with the recent promotion of Mark Reuss to President of GM, I went way back in my memory bank...... and researched one of the first original Furman Corvette Forum weekly sales and delivery threads. I knew that I had seen that Reuss name and his picture somewhere on a Furman thread, and wanted to revisit that information.

So, I finally found that picture of Mark Reuss and his family...... paired up with Mike Furman and his family...... at the 24 hours of LeMans in France in 2011. Furman had won a GM Corvette sales contest as the top Corvette salesman for 2011. He also won it again in 2012. GM only offered that promotion those 2 years. The Furman and Reuss families were pictured together in the Corvette Racing Team pits, as well as touring the French countryside as part of the all expenses paid 24 hours of LeMans experience.

You will never hear this story from Mike Furman. That is just how he rolls.

However, you just can't get anymore connected than Mike Furman with GM in general...... and with the Corvette brand in particular.

The Corvette team won in 2011 as well...super exciting being in the pits for that race with Reuss and the rest of the team.

Nice job Mike.

I was going to ask a trivia question about the car # in this pic, but didn't want to hijack the thread.... The C6.Rs ran with #73 and #74 at Lemans, C5.Rs and C7.Rs ran with #63 and #64. With the exception of the blue Compuware livery C5 that ran #50 and #53 in 2003

Thanks Mike. Just got back from Mecum Kissimmee. Lots of Corvettes this year. Saw the Mitchell/Earl pair and the 2100 mile white 67 coupe. I have to ask, why no C3's in your Corvette resume?

The funny thing is I started selling during the C3 era. My love for Corvettes started with the 1978 Corvette Indy 500 Pace Car. I almost purchased a Mint 1968 427 Tri Power Convt with only 10k miles about 25 years ago but
decided not to pull the trigger. Someday...

Thanks for more great Sunday pictures! We out here in Corvette Land really appreciate the effort you make to post these every week.

Favorites today are both of C1 cars. The awesome blue one with the quad headlights AND the older blue C1 with single headlamps sealed the deal this week.

Call me a softy, but usually the "happy new owner" pics are my faves, much as I luv the throwbacks. And even more than happy new owners, are happy new owners with family there. But, most of all is happy new owners WITH KIDS there.

So, this pic takes the First Prize for me, and I apologize to the wife of the new owner, but that young lady is special.

Because of this …

A kudo and shout out :thumbs to "vette4lyn" finding that very early post by Mike on meeting Mark Reuss back when.

And to Rebel Yell on his new car!!!!

Man! Fairmount Park Police in Philly had one gruesome scene with that 65 sliced in half.

I noticed that you consistently post on Mike Furman’s weekly threads. Always appreciate your positive and knowledgeable feedbacks on CF.

Have you ever bought a Corvette from Mike? IF not, how did you first get acquainted with him?

I have, Mike is easy to get acquainted with, and it is the best buying experience in the world. You can rest assured you're getting the best possible deal at any given point in time. Just give him a call and tell him you've been following his Sunday threads here. He'll treat you like an old friend. He's just a very nice and thoughtful person.

Thank you much AO. Buying from Mike, and Criswell was one of the easiest new car transactions I have ever experienced.

Sans the part of driving around D.C. in the rain.

Hey, I love driving around DC in the rain. If I didn't I wouldn't have been driving at all this past year.

I know of what you speak sir. The difference being, I'm a small town boy. Take copious amounts of traffic, add rain, and this old country boy is way out of his element.

There are, however, worse places to drive especially in the rain. Around here, it's slow, it's a bit chaotic but it isn't dangerous from truly dumb drivers. Only have our "fair share.": rofl: Other places, it's the roads, the ROADS, omgoodness. Then add in rain, and very aggressive and poor drivers--- it becomes soup that will make you lose it. Enjoy your car!
