Modded. But very lightly. Mostly upgraded-stock; or exaggerated, factory-ish looking.

Ok folks. Today I saw something that cannot be unseen. A silver C7 with an old school black vinyl top. It followed the roof line almost back to the rear spoiler.

But wait! There is more ! The bottom of said vinyl top was trimmed with stick on chrome moulding.

Poor car.

No pics I was trying to keep my vomit in my mouth and not on my seats.

I mod it a little. Not to difficult to return to stock.

Tinted all windows except windshield 30%
Tinted side markers and rear reflectors.
Distressed American Flaq on on Quarter windows.

Tinted windows and 2019 ZR1 carbon black wheels. Also some tension blue vinyl lettering on the door sill plates and a carbon fiber license plate frame with Grand Sport with tension blue lettering. Nothing major but enough to make my 2017 Collectors Edition GS a little unique..

This is my 5th Corvette and I can honestly say that the car is perfect for me the way it rolled off the assembly line. I have no desire to “improve” this car at all.

Plus with it being one of the Premier Edition cars, I feel obligated to keep her stock.

Certainly nothing wrong with personalizing a car as long as it’s tastefully done IMO.

Always liked that pic, but too bad that its stances are not representative of factory...

In my opinion, these cars are a work of art when they come off the assembly line. Changing them, to me would be like drawing a mustache on the Mona Lisa!

Had more external mods on my 2014 Z51, i.e. All carbon fiber, matching the OEM CF roof; side skirts, splitter with winglets, hood vent, chrome grill cover.

Ordered the Stage 2 Aero Option for the Grand Sport that has CF side skirts and splitter (mine are painted carbon flash.) Added a rear diffuser, again CF painted carbon flash matching the lower rear bumbler and Stage 3 winglets replacing the small Stage 2 winglets. Also need some "Jakes" so externally added these plastic ones painted carbon flash as well as wheel hub inserts and valve caps for the machined faced aluminum wheels. Have more inside.

It looks like it's been lowered. Maybe stock bolts?

I selected the 3rd option, but now that I think about it, I did change the lug nuts. I ordered my GS with carbon flash accents and Stage 2 Aero. I may add some stripes in the future to emulate the C7R look, but these things look pretty trick out of the box.

Of all the mods I have seen, the best are only acceptable, not improvements. The only cosmetic change I have made is blackout covers on the sun visor warning labels. Mechanically, just MGW shifter and skip-shift eliminator.

Yep, have 12 Jakes! The one's on the body came about because when I ordered the Carbon Flash Badge option, thought the top fender vents would be carbon flash. When they came in white thought it needed something from the full length carbon flash side skirts to the carbon flash rear spoiler. Found those Jakes- once you start! The Jake wheel centers come in a gray or black background. They gray matched the gray in the OEM machine faced aluminum wheels.

I've moded every car I've owned, from my 1st that I nosed, decked, filled grill etc '41 coupe and stuffed in an Olds engine when I was 17. Understand those that want to keep them 100% stock, which is fine.

To Each Their Own!

I realized that while I chose NO MOD, that in fact I had done several minor, easily removable mods to the car.

Rim Tape on the wheels; Homemade extended front Splash Guards; (aftermarket) C7 Carbon GTX carbon fiber side skirts and front splitter; 3rd Brake light "Grand Sport"; interior LED red floor lights; LED Cup Holder lights; sound deadening material and probably a few other things I can't recall......
