Sorry but you didn't answer my simple question... I shared my story...you wont share yours? A dealer taking money doesn't prove it was earned.

I'm 26 years old. Have yet to see anybody around my age with a C7. I remember the gentleman at NCM told me that I was about half the age of the people who usually come in to take delivery.
Why is this?
Just something I have noticed. I love talking to anybody who wants to check the car out and always open it up for them to sit in, look under the hood, start up, etc.

Insurance is the worst part of owning any car. They aren't helping me out any either. I rarely think of it when I'm driving the car though!

Eh, don't worry too much about it if its not you. Some younger folk who fall into money like to brag about what they can afford and act if their purchases are no big deal, almost in a condescending manner. I once knew a bartender whose grandparents left her a sizeable chunk of money, who liked to play the "I bought my house in cash at 19, I don't know why people make such a big deal about buying one" card. People who work to earn what they buy tend to not share in those folks enthusiasm.

Although, when the C8 hits and the C7s start depreciating quicker, maybe that'll change. I'm hoping when the boat is paid off in a few years and I've gotten all I can out of my C4, trackable C7s are down in that mid/high-20s range

I just bought my son a used 2017 C7 GS. I made him a deal in high school that if he got a full ride I would get him one when he became an upperclassman in college. It was still cheaper then 4 yrs of room and board. We both come out ahead and share a love of cars going forward.

Personally, I don't think it matters how you got the car or any other possession you may have. It matters the kind of person that you are and if you appreciate it or take it for granted. I grew up raised by a single mom and pretty poor but guess what, I would have loved parents with money that could give me a nice car like a Corvette.
I think young people get a bad rep because of a few irresponsible snobs. My friend who I just bought my car from is 25 years old and on his fourth Vette already. his first one was purchased for him by his parents. He became fascinated with them. He made something of himself and started buying them. Every couple years he trades up. He is very responsible and his only ticket ever was for window tint.
And on a different note, a lot of the older gentleman are saying they think it's cool the younger generation is buying Corvetts. Well I've always thought the opposite. I think it's really cool the older guys have always been into them. Imagine Grandpa driving a vette. 😳

I got my brand new ‘19 Grand Sport a week before turning 34. I thought that was pretty young already for a Corvette owner, nice to know that there are a lot more younger than me lol. I got 2 cars and 2 jobs, so technically I daily both cars.

It's all relative young man. I bought my first Corvette at 29 yo in 1982. It was the same back then as it was mainly older folks driving Corvettes at the time. So, it's really nothing new.

I bought my first performance car at 19, and my first Corvette at 35. Like you, I have a business. In the early years, I just had to be content to keep my head above water, make my mortgage and pay for the essentials. Now that my business has matured, I can afford a Corvette, and I bought one!
Good on you for going for a Vette! They truly are one of the best performance cars out there at any price.

Well, if I reverse the numbers of my age, I'm only 17!!!! Wooooo Hooooo. I got my first Corvette in '73 at the ripe old age of 25. I was making 13 grand a year and the Vette was $6,500.
