Default Youngest Stingray Owner?

I'm 26 years old. Have yet to see anybody around my age with a C7. I remember the gentleman at NCM told me that I was about half the age of the people who usually come in to take delivery.

Why is this?

Just something I have noticed. I love talking to anybody who wants to check the car out and always open it up for them to sit in, look under the hood, start up, etc.

How you can have all that money and not know the answer to your question is what puzzles me.

I think the answer is pretty obvious. How many people in their 20's can afford a car that costs $120K-$140K?

The Stingray starts around $55,000 new, and better deals for a used one. I was talking about C7's in general.

The thread title reads "Youngest ZR1 Owner" so its confusing. There are a number of guys in the C7 General forum that have identified as being in their 20's.

I tried to edit the title but it's not possible. At this point I regret posting the question at all. I know there are other guys in their 20's...but the majority are not. I figured this place would have an opinion on why.

I’m 30 now but took delivery of my ZR1 last April when I was 29...

First vette was a 2014 C7, took delivery December of 2013 at age 24.

Which dealer did you get your ZR1 from in Norfolk? I haven't seen any ZR1's driving around other than the couple sitting in the dealerships. I will keep an eye out for you.

I had to order from Lander's Chevrolet in Norman, Oklahoma. There wasn't any dealers with allocations here. This was all back in July 2018.

RacingYellowZR1 just turned 28 I believe. Still not as young as you - congrats on your ZR1 and keep it shiny side up!

I think it would be a combination of a few things. First would be price, it's just not that common for a person in their 20's to be able to afford any newer Corvette. Second kind of goes with the first, in that they are not very practical for a daily so for most it's a second car. So a person in their 20's might be able to afford a used C7 but not a used C7 and a Honda Accord or F150 etc. Third, would go back to overall budget and the cost of Insurance when you are that age with a car like a Corvette. I now personally, even I was able to afford only one car, was in my 20's and single, it still would not be a Corvette or any 2 seater for that matter.

Congrats OP! I bought my first vette a decade ago at 40. Prior to that I was too busy buying companies, to worry about superfluous things. But, I've made up for lost time, with an array of vettes and exotics. FWIW, I still fancy myself as 18 from the waist down

It does not matter how they got them I am just glad young people find the Corvette suited to their taste, it is the future of the car. I don't want to see the car fade into history with us older crowd.
