1/13/19 Corvette delivery post/Barn Finds*/ME interior pics*Mike Furman@Criswell***
~Corvette Clubs are made up of some of the greatest members. Not everyone is involved in Club activities and that is totally
understandable. Life gets in the way, I get it. But I'm writing this for a different reason. My daughters best friend (Kelly) is getting married this June and her
fiance is in the Army and stationed in Oklahoma right now before he ships out again. Only 23 and doesn't know the area at all, his truck got totaled in a crash last week.
I have sold Kelly's family vehicles for years so she reached out to my wife and I was told that DJ would call me for assistance. DJ called and he only had $2k to spend
on a vehicle that he needs for just 6 mos before the wedding and shipping out. I asked some questions and then asked where in Oklahoma does he live?
He replied Lawton. Well, I have a Corvette customer and friend in Lawton, Jeremy W. One call to Jeremy and he started brain storming with his local Corvette
club and last night I was told DJ is getting a car today for the limited funds he has to spend. Thank you Jeremy and all your Corvette Club members. I will meet DJ
this June at the Wedding but he did call me last night to thank me for my part in this. I said no, thank you for your service.
~If you ever get the chance to stop in and meet me at Criswell Chevrolet here is the view from my office.

~This month I have Corvettes getting built for folks that live in the following areas: Akron, Ohio:Stockton, CA:Jessup, MD:Beaumont, CA:Scottsdale, AZ: Carlisle, PA(2): Davie, FL:Leesburg, VA:Largo,FL:
FairLawn, NJ:Fishers, IN:Boulder City, NV and Canton, Ohio.
~Harry P. Of New Port Richey, Florida has bought several Corvettes from me over the past decade. This time he Factory ordered a Blade Silver 2019 Z06 Cpe with black interior with micro fiber inserts, Comp Seats,
cf painted ground effects Pkg, 7 Spd manual, Navigation/PDR and 2LZ Pkg.
~Mehmet Y. Of Chatham, NJ came down this past Saturday the 5th with his family to sign and pay for his new 2019 Torch Red ZR1 Vin#1466 and Wednesday the 9th Plycar Trucking loaded it up and brought it to New Jersey.

Shadow Gray ZR1....

~So yes there were leaked pics of the supposed 2020 Mid Engine Corvettes interior. At this stage anything can be changed but I will tell you. In my
humble opinion...when this Corvette, the 8th Generation gets announced and makes its debut...it will be on GM's timeline and not some magazine
or internets agenda. I know GM will do it right as its been too long in the making, approx 1960 since it was first on the drawing board.
~In 1963 Chevrolet built 199 Z06's...and only 1 Z06 Convt! It resides in my neighbor Tony's collection. Slightly rare.

What a great group of photos, Mike.
This is my first choice since it's identical to the first Corvette that I drove myself, my uncles brand new '72 Orange Convertible 350 4 speed on my 13th birthday.
Always love the Baldwin Motion look on the C3's.

Thanks Mike for another great week of pictures and stories!
And a special thank you to you and Jeremy for helping out on getting the vehicle for the serviceman who is looking out for America!
Congrats. to all the new owners, Corvettes and other models. A lot of nice vehicles hitting the American roads.
Favorite photo for me would be the first Corvette from Flint, MI. Not too far from me, and I attend the "Back to the Bricks" Corvette show there each year.

What a great jesture by all involved in getting the car for a service member. I’m pretty sure you all just thanked him for his service. Way to go guys/gals.
Im not an advocate of street racing but that picture picqued my curiosity. I was born and raised in Brooklyn. It looks like it could be 3rd Ave under the Gowanus Exwp or Meeker Ave under the BQE. Anyone remember racing the “Connecting Hwy” in Queens?
Thanks Mike.

"In honor of jpee"
Hmm, a fellow named "Jeremy" with a "W" as the last name, from Oklahoma....hmmmm, that could only be our own, "jag" man from Oklahoma who customized a new Corvette after having one get flooded out. And I say, that gets my for the week and one to you, Mike. Cars are cars, and they will sit without people.
Best wishes to the young man in Oklahoma!

Mike if you could go back in time and this was Criswell in 1965 with 50+ Corvettes in stock. Think of the color combos & engine combos you could order?

I also recall Francis Lewis Boulevard in Queens aka "Franny Lew" as another spot that was a hot spot for big $$$$ street races.. the good ol' days lol

It looks taller and narrower to me, could be the photos. However, it could also be a continuation of the theme of the emblem flags arching upwards as the have over the last few generations.
As always, thanks for the great pics...
