Everybody loves the LS7 except for the heads risk that goes with every one.

This makes you sound snobish. The C6 isnt unrefiened. Is the interior better in the C7, yes! I said it. But the C6 interior isnt "Bad".

LOL not snobbish but I am an architect, so maybe Im a design snob. Sorry to hurt your thoughts but to me (what do I know) the C6 looks like Herbie on front end and interior was a mess, not organized. But if you like it, Salute!

If the OP has not done it yet go ask this same question in the C6 forum.

While I do really like the C7. And If I had the extra money I'd probably be in one. I do think the C6 has more of the classic Corvette look. Both are great. But if I had to choose C6 Z06 or base C7.. Z06 all day.

Don't listen to anyone on here - do what YOU want to do.
Comments like "don't look back" and "digital versus analogue" are silly...look at how many people own and are so passionate about older Corvettes, and many other older cars for that matter.
My first Corvette was a 2008 ZO6 Jetstream Blue. Loved it. Then I traded it in for a 2013 427 convertible. I traded that in on a 2016 Z51 M7 vert. I traded that in for a 2019 Z06 M7.
Last summer I found a mint 2008 Jetstream Blue Z06. It si now in my garage along with the 2019 and a 1966 L79 coupe.
I love all three. They are like children -- each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
If you love that C6 Z06 then go for it!

I'm in the minority, but I really miss my C6 GS. I have a C7 Z51 now but to me the C6 was more "corevetty" My C6 was also screwed together better and had a lot less NVH than my C7. I would still have my C6 but I daily my cars and tend to get rid of them once they hit 50K miles.
C4 - 186K, sold to friend, now has 251K
C6 - 128K - sales manager bought the car
C7 - 82K and looking forward to it and I wearing out about the same time, I'm 77, but looking for 150K+ on the C7. Oh, wait! That only gives me 3.5 more years, better shoot for 200, at least.

Neither car is perfect. The C7 has:
Better ride and handling.
Nicer interior, better seats. Better electronics, mostly.
Etc.
But the C7 also has:
Longer, wider, heavier. Bigger on the outside but smaller on the inside. Smaller trunk.
Poor visibility, especially over your shoulder.
Lots of goofy "WTF were they thinking?" things- two finger door handles, complicated menus, Nav scale disappears, V4 system.
Etc.
If our 2107 Z51 A8 had been stolen during the first year, I would have used the insurance money to buy a 2013 C6 GS.
Now at 18 months/20k miles, I'd get another C7. But that doesn't stop me from being annoyed at the many small items where the C7 went backwards from the C6.
Nothing is perfect.

From first pictures, I loved the C7. It spoke to me. Every time I had looked at a C5 or C6 my wife came with me to the dealer. When we walked in in Sept 13 to look at a sold special order C7. With in a minute or two of me seeing the car, she looked at me and said, your buying one aren't you. Even she knew it had the lines, the curves and arches that said corvette to me. Front end, especially in the drivers seat is like a C3. It has wheel arches, and a hood bulge in the center.
So I ordered a 14 Z51, M7 car. I'm now in an 18 Grand Sport. To me, it says corvette, the C4, C5 and C6 do not.

Just don't buy a 2013 LS7 (Rod Bearings) and if you do get an LS7 get the heads fixed. Otherwise you're driving a time bomb, and it is an expensive fix. Traded a beautiful 2013 427 60th Anniversary Edition for an awesome 2016 Z51 M7. I miss the Mag Ride Control, I miss the unbelievable power matched to the best suspension. That 427 would flat out fly, but it took a firm hand on the wheel with those massive front tires. The Z51 is almost as fast, but the rear end does not hook up like the 427 did. Too much wheel hop without MRC. Hard to get traction even in second gear. The Z51 is easier to drive for sure and the fact that I don't have to be concerned about rod bearings or valves is a major relief.
