Default 2019 GS Wheels Falling Apart

I have a customer with a 19 GS for which we have replaced 8 wheels in 5k miles due to cracking. I know there are some other people having issues with these wheels as well. It is related to just the 19 cars or did the earlier GS have problems as well?

Have you not seen the dozens of posts on the bent/cracked rim issues?

Like Sconn said, there are tons of threads on this. In fact it’s been beat to death. It’s mostly a Z06, Grand Sport issue. Not a year related issue. The best long term solution is to get forged and not waste money on the OEM. What’s really weird is I drove mine all the way from Nashua New Hampshire to Wisconsin with no problems. Then drove it another 3000 miles around where I live. Not a single problem. This does not mean there’s no problem, just that in all those miles apparently I’ve been very lucky.

Pm me and I can point you in the right direction. I had 5 bend and one crack in a very short time of owning the car.
I just made a post about my story...it’s probably on page 2.

If rims keep getting larger and sidewalls smaller it is bound to push the envelope of reliability. My 14 sits right beside my 17 Z and the wheels look about the same height but their is at least 3/4 inch less side wall with that 25 series tire on the Z
