Our 2017 Z51 with mag ride was noticeably harsher in Tour than our 2009 Z51 without mag ride. I was really disappointed.
Last year I was able to get the dealer to install the mag ride update for ~$350. That was a huge improvement, Sport is now more comfortable than the old Tour and control is as good or better.
OTOH, those gumball tires of yours will always ride stiffer than stock sizes. And the previous owner may have installed stiffer springs or sways as part of his wide body package.

Just sounds like your tires sidewalls are too thin. And riding like a nova? Yep the z51 mag ride has stupid soft suspension in tour. It will bottom out easily.

I've not gotten the GM MSRC reprogramming done to my 2017. Mine in Tour, rides similar to a C3 1969 427. I'm always cautious about spending money ($350.00) on something that perhaps I don't need or want. Therefore, my reluctance to getting mine reprogrammed. However, I have read many testimonials supporting their respective MSRC reprogramming C7 ride quality. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I never said it was hidden. I stated what the video was labeled and what it said. Not everyone may know of it or take the time to look it up. Especially a new owner like the op. But you're that guy that has to say something huh.

Go find out what mods were made; that'll give you the best chance of getting your problem solved.
HTH, and have a good one,

It sounds like all those mods that made it look tough as hell also made it ride tough as hell.

With all the mods you mentioned, I'm guessing the suspension has been modded in some way. There is the possibility he added a DSC sport controller and has it tuned to being super stiff.

I would just take it to a good Corvette service Department and have them check it out. You can contact your local Corvette Club and ask them for service recommendations in your area.

Massive, heavy wheels with wide (and thus heavy) tires is likely not helping the ride quality. The mag ride is calibrated based on stock wheel weights. My '14 Z51 with mag rides great especially in Tour mode. Its one of things I like most about the car, it can be smooth on the highway or rock stiff on track. As others have said since the car has multiple modifications I would wonder if the previous owner did something to the suspension as well.

Could be why the previous owner sold it. Mag ride in tour mode should be super smooth.

How do you know this? I am not doubting you... just wondering because I would assume (and hope) that Wet Track is firmer then Tour because Tour seems really soft (to me). Tour and Weather (normal drive modes) use the same suspension settings per the manual but there is no information on what PTM does other then it "integrates the Traction Control, StabiliTrak, and Selective Ride Control systems to provide improved and consistent performance when cornering."
