I've always had convertibles. I wish I had the ones I let get a way: 1966 Impala, 1960 Impala and 2 1957 chevys. These are the ones I have now.

Exclusively looked at Coupes when I was shopping. Not a fan of the way convertibles look with the soft top up. Also I would most likely rarely drive around with it down.

After long and thoughtful consideration, the
convertible was the only C7 body style that I was interested in buying.

It's one of those personal choices where you either like a convertible, or you don't. Myself I have driven convertibles for a long time, and wouldn't have anything else. Others feel the same way about a coupe........the poor things.

I hope this does not turn into another subjective “Do you like black wheels?” type thread.

2019 Stingray, Convertible/2LT/White-Red-Black/Chrome/8-Speed Auto/NPP...

As you get older (now 70), the word "Instant" means a lot more. Push a button and the top is down. (Although the manual top in my former C5 was a lot faster). No need to unlatch the hard top, take it off with old, achy arms and store it away, or worry about it blowing off if I forgot to latch it properly. "Let the tool do the work" I've always told my son. So push a button and be done with it.

When I want to go for a drive and feel the breeze, have the sun on my hat (not my head since the hair is now "clear") and listen to that nice sound of 460 HP-NPP exhaust, convertible is the only way to go.

Top is up in the garage (rats and geckos) but as soon as she comes out, top is down for a nice beach drive, going through the auto-8 gears. (Actually at that speed, usually only the first four).

On a really hot day down here in sunny mid-Gulf Florida for a longer highway trip, probably top up. Very quiet with some smooth jazz or ambient playing softly in the background.

Easier to do the "Corvette Wave" with the top down too. Bob

I vote convertible!
i really like the looks of the targa top better when both cars have the tops up/on.
But when the convertible top is down, I like the looks of that car better. I only drive the car, when the top can be down, so for me.... convertible.

I had and liked myfixed roof Z but imo if you want the open air ride of a convertible then get the convertible. The coupe with the targa off looks like ***.

Convertible, those who have one know all the advantages and reasons for having one, so I will leave it there.

I only considered the convertible after deciding I wanted a C7. Like the looks with top up or down. Most of my older Vettes over the years have been convertibles as well. Coups are great, just not for me.

If the top doesn't go down, I don't buy it. I've been that way for a long time.
