To supercharge or not

I put an Edelbrock E-force on my 14 Z51 when the extended warranty expired about 2k miles ago....What a difference! A completely different car! Throttle response is instant and acceleration is awesome. Gas mileage when just driving around town is the same. Otherwise, your mileage may vary

When you are just cruising along the bypass valve is open and the amount of power that it takes to drive the supercharger is negligible. Under boost they take quite a bit of power to drive.

There is no better option to increase HP than with a supercharger.. you retain your drive-ability and make great HP. There is no other way to add an extra 170+ HP and to have it drive like stock when you don't get into boost. We sell 50 to 1 supercharger to CAM kits for the C7 since the C7 cam is such a PITA to install

Do it, all the cool kids are doing it. :0)
I will be doing the same once my warranty is up. It's a risk, but they have proven to be reliable more often than not. The moment you start to mod a car, you have made a decision to personalize it for your needs therefore, you are going to diminish the resale value. But, its your car that you are building for yourself. Do what makes you happy, but don't expect to get your money back. :0)

Have you checked what the cost difference would be between your car and a Z06? And then what I would cost to supercharge your current car? Perhaps finding a very low mileage used Z06 would be an option.

The question I have is why didnt you buy a Z06? To do a SC properly will bd zbout $10-15k. That is the diff of a Z06 and it has full factory warranty. Adding it on will void all drivetrain warranty.

If I had to decide between supercharging a GS or getting a Z06, it would be much smarter to go Z06 but supercharging a Stingray to Z06 is smarter if you don't require a wide body look.

What? Really? Properly? I make z06 power for 7k installed and tuned. Hell I only spent 5.5k cause I installed myself.

I just ordered a supercharger for my 17 GS. Do it! You'll lose your *** on trade. But some guys are more risk averse than others and want the warranty.

Lol, not even close! Bought mine from a member on here slightly used. After all is said and done with longtubes and a faster proms tune I'll be at $5,500 total and around 580hp. That's with me doing the install.
