Today's NASCAR has almost no connection with production cars or OEMs, its really just a collection of specialty shop builds wrapped up in stickers crashing into each other constantly - I can't stand it. Another sports car bonus is they use tracks YOU can drive on during local track days or HPDE. Living in FL has allowed me to run Sebring several times a year and will do Daytona too at some point.
Not to mention, if NASCAR went back to stock cars, they'd be putting out more power than the Cup cars are going to be this year anyhow :P

We had a blast yet again this year. Spent about 13 hrs at the track on Saturday. Glad we did, because after after battling the cold (for Florida) and wind, we decided adding rain to that on Sunday was not desirable.
On another note, I think NBCSN does a much better job with its broadcast production than Fox. The information they provided was better and I liked the graphics on-screen that made it easier to follow who the leaders where in each class - at a glance.
