I had a C4 Corvette for seven years and sold it to get something else. I bought a few BMWs. Now I have my '14 Z51 and love it so much more than my C4 or BMWs!

Yes the C7 is my first. Should I run into a bag of Scrooge McDuck type money, I'd get a second one. Probably a C2, as I've grown pretty fond of that generation since owning my Grand Sport.

Yes. I had driven a few earlier generations a few times but this is the first I’ve owned. All the generations have looked good. The styling of the C7 is my favorite and helped tip me to the purchase. 2017 GS

Interesting thread. One of the stated goals of the C7 was to attract new buyers. If this thread is any indication of C7 buyers, it looks like it's achieving that goal.

I've always liked vettes but the C7 was the tipping point and I pulled the trigger more than two years ago. I've been a P-Car / Audi owner/fanatic for years. I have no regrets. I know there are a lot of guys / gals out there that have had 2 / 5 / 10+ vettes. Curious if the C7 is your first.

This. Always knew of the Vette as a high-performance car with stylish looks but it's the luxury features of C7 that won me over. I was really looking for a Grand Touring car and the C7 fits the bill quite well. The convertible is a sheer joy to drive.

Perhaps this would be more informative as a poll. (Number of Corvettes owned, plus age brackets). Even better would be overall numbers, not just Corvetteforum members. Has anyone seen anything like that?

first vette, i'm early 40s. wanted one since the 14 came out, it just looks perfect. the C6 is ok but 'ok' wasnt good enough to drop that kind of money. meanwhile, my 17 is fantastic and ill keep it for a damn long time.

A week in, she shows up in a brand new car. The owner says "why did you buy a car somewhere else?" He wasn't upset, just confused. It was nothing special, just a typical four dour sedan. She said "I didn't have the money to buy a car until I got this job, so now that I do, I bought one." Owner replies, "yes, but you work at a car dealership. We might have been able to get you a better deal."
"Oh, I didn't think about think about that. I'll ask next time."
After they talked a bit more over the next few days, it was apparent it simply didn't occur to her that she should have asked. Almost like she wasn't aware of the fact that she worked at a place that sold cars. She wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.
