Arrows would be nice, but I have never had them and don't feel I need them.
For the people who still swear by the V1, it is not the greatest anymore. Far from it. Check out the tests that Vortex radar does.
I have been running Radenso units since they hit the US and can say they are definitely the quietest detectors I have ever used. Rarely ever false which is very nice as when it goes off I believe it and slow down. I have Radenso XP units in all my cars except my Corvette where I have an ALP 5 head systems with Net Radar detector. I will eventually be upgrading it to the Radenso RC-M unit.
The next year is going to be very interesting to watch as all of the most advanced radar detector technology and talent gets combined into one company at Radenso.
Don't be stuck in the past. There's a lot of new tech out there and some new companies that make very good units. I bet most of you guys don't know what MRCD is and what detectors detect it. That V1 doesn't.

I use a 360c, i like the fact that it will tell me if I'm being hit by 2 different guns at the same time, there is a #2 that lights up when this happens. Here in upstate NY the troopers will have a speed trap set up, as you pass it you are still getting a signal and some drivers will start to speed again thinking its the trap they passed but there is another trooper 1 mile ahead shooting at you. Yep gets cars with detectors all the time.

The one feature I like on my Max 360c ... is that you can change the tone for a much more subtle ... less irritating "BRAK"......

If someone finds a place taking preorders, post up. If they aren't gouging on the price, I'll order one.

Interesting. I might have to upgrade to one of these. I have a max 360 in the daily and an R3 in the weekend car. I find the Max 360 much more user friendly and quiet. The R3 goes off litterally all the time for no reason.

Have you fine tuned the settings? Mine relatively quiet. I can do a hour drive across Portland and have it not go off.

I'm pretty happy with my $200 Max2, but I certainly will be shopping the R7 when it arrives... looks like it has it all, especially if they can keep the price under $500.
I tried a V1 last year, and while it worked well enough, I felt like it was far too cumbersome for a $500 detector... 1st you really need to add on a separate BT dongle that hangs by a cord off the side or somewhere, then you always needed to have your phone paired and there to enable lockouts/GPS, etc.
Yes, it all worked, but it seemed like it was very clunky setup for a top line detector package that cost >$500, when detectors designed in the last decade can do it all inside 1 tiny box for less. Now that the arrows are coming to Uniden, (Escort already had them), the reasons for putting up with the V1's outdated-by-20-years design limitations are shrinking fast. Even the V1 diehards will admit a "V2" model is overdue by about 10 years.
