Squealing brakes
2014, Z51, 3,000 miles, M7, brakes are fine when cold, after they heat up they will squeal starting at about only @ 8-10 MPH and then down to complete stop. This is normal city driving. They do not squeal at speed only when going very slow. I can go 40 - 50 MPH hit the brakes no squeal until 8-10 MPH down to zero. Pedal feels fine, no pulsation in pedal, pedal feels normal or firm. Your thoughts?

Re-bed your pads (high performance brakes don't get enough of a workout in normal street driving)

Re-bed the pads or change them to a less dust producing pad like the Carbotech™ 1521™.

Follow up, took the car out yesterday and performed Hawk Brakes bed-in/burnishing procedure, Car has Factory Z51 Brakes. Drove it home, let it cool down, took it out today and no squeal, hope it stays that way, Thanks for the tips guys!

Update, Tried re bed a few times from different manufactures, no luck, still squealing, pulled brakes apart, all parts seemed dry, car only has 3K miles, cleaned & lubed, all good now, 2014 made in June with no adhesive on fronts FYI, I do have some Carbotechs 1521 coming from Adam to cut down on dust

Mine does this too. Its annoying when you come up to a sign and everyone looks at your car because of the squeal. My 1980 does it some. Never thought I would have the issue in a 2014.

Safety Car
This is what I found on my wife's car, its not a C7 but brake troubleshooting is the same...
Clean and lube = temporary fix
Replace clips / shims = temporary fix
Rebed pads = temporary fix, now this is always a good first step as no work or tools are required, just some open space
Replaced rotors = problem solved
I believe her rotors suffered from high spots, likely due to pad transfer or uneven heating / cooling over time. Rebedding them should have taken care of it but apparently I couldn't get aggressive enough with street pads. I noticed under certain conditions a very tiny amount of vibration in the pedal, which tells me the rotors weren't perfectly smooth (= high frequency squeak). With low mileage I would look into having the rotors turned. I was DIY-ing so swapping the rotors saved me extra work, plus her car had around 40K in mileage thus no sense trying to extend the life of rotors just to save a few bucks.
Also if attempting a cleaning and lube, check to ensure the pads themselves don't have a lip on them. On my previous car I had Hawk pads that for whatever reason didn't fit perfectly, there was a tiny bit of overhang off the rotor. This caused a terrible noise and the solution was to pull the pads and Dremel the lip off. Of course this was temporary but it took many hard miles before the lip would return. By then I had purchased completely different pads (Carbotechs) and no more squeaks.
