I'm sure glad I ordered the NPP exhaust when I ordered my '15 base coupe. Originally, I didn't plan to buy any performance options for my car. The base Stingray already gives me more performance than my simple needs require. High performance is a given with Corvettes, I didn't feel I needed more. I spent my money buying luxury options. Just before I placed my order I checked out the NPP exhaust and loved the size and look of the tips, so I ordered it for looks alone. I hadn't heard the sweet music of the NPP before I cranked up my car inside the Museum where I took delivery. WOW what a sweet sound. Of course I got a friendly reprimand for causing so much noise in the Museum but it was worth it. And so was the $1200 I spent on the option.

Had the dealer pull the fuse on the NPP before I took delivery so I can have that sweet sound 100% of the time.

Sure glad I have the NPP exhaust on my ‘14. The exhaust note is music to the ears. No need for me to look at an aftermarket system.

I have the full kooks headers with npp as well, and am considering a borla ATAK as im looking for some increased volume. It's already loud at WOT but I'm looking for a more aggressive sound when just cruising as well. But overall is it just an obnoxious loud or does it have a deep note to it?

The 2014 Vette I bought new off a dealer’s lot was a perfect fit for my tastes and I would have bought it with or without the NPP. Fortunately for my impulsive and ignorant self it had it. I didn’t realize how disappointed I would be without it until I drove a friend’s C7 that didn’t have NPP. Huge difference.
I keep it in sport most all the time and really enjoy the sound of the beast but have the exhaust mode linked to the drive mode so I can quickly tone it down if I want.
Spring is almost here! That has nothing to do with the sound of the exhaust but I just wanted to say it.

Exhaust tone is so subjective, I actually like the sound of my base exhaust at full throttle, to me it makes the car sound a lot like an exotic car (and I've driven a few different Ferraris and Lamborghinis) When driving normally I like that it's fairly quiet too. I have had my share of super loud Mustang 5.0s and LT1 and LS1 Firebirds in the past and those days are over, I don't need to announce my presence to all of my neighbors every time I drive down the street. I'm glad I saved the $1200 and stuck with the stock setup.

Stingray 1LT w/o NPP sound like a Ferrari? Yeah, ok...
You know you don’t have to justify your 1LT Stingray purchase on every thread...right? Just enjoy it, they’re all great!

If the base sounds like a Ferrari, I was wondering when Ferrari started sounding like a Prius???

yeah .... everything was going so good until you mentioned a non npp sounds a lot like Ferrari and Lamborghini.
other than that I agree with everything you just said I also think people convince themselves that they made the right choice no matter what .... there’s no good reason any C7 should have anything other than the NPP exhaust. If you like it quite or more aggressive it does both very well. You should go test drive one it’s not as loud as you think.
but at the end of the day just because I value what npp exhaust adds to The overall c7 driving experience doesn’t mean you should .

It doesn't stand for anything - its just the RPO code for "Performance Exhaust" on a C7.
