Default 2014 Z51 swap to Z06 grille confirmation

ok so before I buy this grille. I just want a little confirmation. I have a 2014 Z51 and wanting to swap to the Z06 grille with no cameras. Im seeing the grille on ebay for around $100 vs on gmparts direct for $250. Is there really a difference? They really look the same but im sure the grille on ebay quality isn't as great as the gmparts direct. Just curious to see if there are any people who bought off ebay as well. Im thinking just ordering from gm parts direct just to be on the safe side.

I just ordered the Ebay Z06 grill. I couldn't find any bad reviews. Only a few good reviews. Hope the paint is good on the grill.

you installing yourself or having someone perform. Once you buy, look up how to remove the front nose. Its got some funny alignment bolts behind the lights that can be frustrating on some to detach.

Just finished installing my $100 Ebay Z06 grill. I found the 2 -7mm bolts on either sides of the headlights. (tough to find and reach) Took a little over 2 hrs to remove the cover and install the grill. Only took about 45mins to re-install the cover. It looks great and it lined up fine around the headlights and fenders!

I, too, looked at this until I saw how to do it. I know it's certainly doable, but i know, as well, that plastic crap is all made to be put together ONCE and not repeatedly, I decided to live with my all black original. Okay, I'm an old wimp...

You never said how the grill worked out for you. Was it good quality?

Would be great if the OP gave some feedback on how the grille was in terms of fit, finish and ease of install.

Default Z06 grill

Just thought i would say that my $100 Ebay grill fit perfect. It was an ABS material I think. It was wrote on the inside. Not sure what the $250 grill is made of for comparison. The Carbon Flash paint looks fine. No chips or cracks...(so far).. It looks awesome on my torch red Z-51.

How much is involved in the installation? Thanks.

I bought the ebay Z06 grille and installed myself. It was a bit of a PIA, but I was very happy with the end result when finished. There are videos here about how to do the nose removal and reinstall. Do a quick search.

Default Z06 grill

Youtube has a lot of grill, how to , video's. All the bolts were easy to take out , except the 2, 7mm bolts that hold the bumper cover tabs at each of the headlights. You have to go through the fender wells to get to them. But all you do is loosen them and the bumper cover lifts upward easy.

From my other post: I found the 2 -7mm bolts on either sides of the headlights. (tough to find and reach) Took a little over 2 hrs to remove the cover and install the grill. Only took about 45mins to re-install the cover. It looks great and it lined up fine around the headlights and fenders!
