It is best just to stash your weed there!

I use mine all the time.... have for 84K miles and four+ years.... zero problems..... Of course, I don't stuff it full, but it's quite handy.....

I would not use it for something like a wallet, but as a temp storage spot for glasses or for something that if the door got stuck I would not be worried about until I could get the door open it works just fine.

Glad it worked out. Where are the pictures of the burro's

I think we opened it once just to see what the switch did when we got the car 2 yr ago, otherwise, have kinda forgot it even exists.

Definitely a close call.

I plan to continue to use that space as it provides a great place to put my wallet while driving since I can’t stand driving with a wallet in my rear pocket. It also holds a couple other items like a big can of mace. I have the bin buddy which keep things from interfereing with the door and it doubles my storage space.

Yeah, I use it all the time too, but my iPhone lives there connected to CarPlay. In my 2 year-round, nearly daily-driver C7s (14 and 18), my screen goes up and down 4-5 times a day, and I've not had an issue in 4 years.

Like other things in life, perhaps it's a matter of "if you don't use it, you lose it."

Living in the desert southwest, I'd never put something as needed as sunglasses behind the screen. However, I have my Garmin GPS there and it works like a charm.

LOL I did the same thing, except I was experimenting with a gun behind there while I was in my garage. Then, it got stuck and wouldn't come down all the way down as it was getting hung on the hammer. I was going through the vision of tearing apart my dash to get it out, then I decided to go to a secluded parking lot at night, get up to speed and slam the breaks to push the gun forward more so it wasn't resting on the door and see if that would open it. Fortunately, it worked after the 3rd time.

The only thing that goes in there is my cheap pair of spare sunglasses now. Lesson learned.

Yes. Mine didn't have anything wedged preventing the door from opening. It simply wouldn't open! I have been putting mys sunglasses in there now and must have opened and closed it a hundred times without error. Still don't trust anymore though.

Never had a problem with my pistol hanging up... but that's moot now... I bought a bigger gun: won't fit.

Hey Joe, don't forget next Cars and Coffee assuming weather is good we will do a breakfast/lunch run afterwards. Original destination was Williams or Seligman but there will prob be snowy junk out that way and if so we might do kingman or pirates cove.
