Oh yeah - that's another BIG reason why I'm not driving mine right now, even when the temps are warm enough for my summer tires.

Not seeing other Vettes on the road is common.... I make at least one major trip every year - 5,000+ miles - and on a trip like that it's odd to see more than four, five Corvettes on the road.... I drive between Dallas and San Antonio at least once a month, not uncommon at all to not see another Vette going or coming.....

I'm more concerned about folks sliding into me than losing control of my Vette. I just ordered AS/3s for my ZO6 just so I can drive in dry cold weather. I have no desire to break my favorite and last toy.

I guess it depends on how cold your garage gets. It gets 10 degrees and lower here at times however my garage never drops below 50 degrees so I'm not worried about the tires cracking.

OK, impatience finally got to me! I took it out for a 60 mile cruise today! Roads were dry, temps were 32 degrees and sunny. Great drive hardly any road dirt on it when I pulled it back into the garage. That's going to be it for a while big snow storm coming in for tomorrow with a foot of snow so I'm glad I got to take it for a spin today!

I had 3 level Lumbar fusion surgery 5 weeks ago. All I can do is go into the garage and look at it for now. Just started driving my truck about a week ago. Doc says about 2 more months before I get back in the vette. Just in time for spring. LOL

I had mine out for 4 days during the warm spell in the northeast and it was awesome top down driving. Ironically my car picked up almost no dirt

Update: Got a call next day from Michelin informing me that the installer they set me up with (NTB) couldn't install the wheels and wanted me to go pick them up and take them where I needed to be installed...of course the whole reason I ordered that way was for convenience..so I cancelled and now my $1600 will be tied up for 10 days and worse my new wheels will not be installed for a couple more weeks.. Fortunately I believe everything doesn't work out just like you want them when Modding and it's the middle of winter so I'm good

Don't know how the roads are up where you are at, but I can't blame owners for keeping the cars inside this time of year. Temps are cold and roads are full of salt.
