I was in the same situation/dilemma as GSHUNTER, looking for a long time for the right Vette. Found it on cars.com, right colors, right options, fair price. Pulled the trigger. Convinced the same deal might not happen again & I would start compromising with colors & options. No regrets.

GSHUNTER - Did you buy the car or talk yourself out of it?

And then i did the stupid mistake of doing some research on the C7 resale values and now i can't stop to think,
When the C8 comes out later this year/early next year, will C7 take a big hit in depreciation? Any C6 owners here who can comment on C6 resale values when the C7 came out?
Is this a wrong time to buy a C7?
Found your"dream", "perfect C7" ? Do NOT buy because it's not if you doubt.

Wait for 6 months *ish till more info on the c8 comes out. 1) you will really see if you can get a MUCH better car for the semi- same price. (of $169K)
2) if you see and dont like, the c7 will be cheaper and there WILL be people selling like mad. Either way its a win.

P.S. You know you want the C8.. you can feel it. Your looking at the pictures everyday. There is being happy and then there is being mid engine happy. Being one more step closer to a super car. All you have to do is .... just wait a little longer........

I agree, the C8 is too close to ignore.

I'm also curious if you bought it or not- sounds like a good deal price-wise, and if it's otherwise just what you want and can reasonably afford it, DO IT ! I'll bet you will never regret it- even if it's a little extravagant. We only have so many years on this beautiful planet, after all, and the C7 certainly enhances the experience!

let's introduce you to a new term. Depreciating asset. That is what most every car is unless it's a collector and is not driven.

It's a car. Find the one, and negotiate the best you can a pull the trigger. Don't be **** an eddie. 66% of your brain is not working. stop with the numbers...

I don't understand it, but some people really struggle with big purchases. I just bought my C7 in November and I did a bit of research, ran the numbers to make sure I could afford the extra insurance and winter storage, etc. Then jumped on it. Found the car I wanted on a Saturday, bought it Monday. I never gave any thought whatsoever to re-sale value. I'm going to drive the **** out of it.

Mrs Flex said she really envied me for being able to make a decision and move on it so quickly. She's been agonizing over renovating the kitchen for almost 2 years. Money is sitting in the bank but she can't pull the trigger.

Lotta tire kickers out there, I guess.....
