And the Diablo does it ... it also allows the adjustment of throttle response , ie eliminates the need for a Vitesse ...

Oh yes ... any type of major warranty power train failure the tune file has to be sent to GM for approval otherwise the dealer will not get paid

First thing they checked when my motor dropped a valve ......

I have been running the stock tune for a long time with the V8/V4 mode disabled from the tune using the i2 intune and being you did it with the intune tuner there is no extra crap/stuff that is required to be in the car to delete the V8/V4 mode like the Range device.

was at a car show where a guy had a import with two computers stacked on top of each other in the engine bay. One was wired the other was NOT. Bare in mind to wire the other you simply would switch the plug from one computer to the other. I asked about it and he said so he could have the tune but go right back to factory if needed.

With a C7 this would be detectable as the mileage is stored in two places , the speedometer cluster and in the ECM , swap out the ECM and you are going to have a mileage mismatch ... now you could have the speedometer relearn the ecm mileage but then would that number match your service, registration and in some cases smog records

Also all the other modules in the car must be registered in the ECM

Can it be done ... sure , is it a lot of work and expense ... yep is it detectable pretty good chance
