Btw, light speed = 186K+ MILES per second... not feet.

Not a fan of radar or lidar detecting/defeating systems 'cuz the technology is not 100% foolproof and can change quickly and unadvertised, leaving the owner with

- useless or untrustworthy expensive (and in many cases illegal) equipment
- a very costly ticket or jail time depending on how fast said driver feels the need to travel on public roads...

Nothing is 100%, but it's still very effective, and if it saves a person once . . . it has paid for itself.
Even in states where the equipment is illegal, it's a $50-$100 fine. Much less than being stopped for doing 1 over.

Had an Escort Shifter ZR4 on my previous C6Z and it worked flawlessly. It is constantly emitting a jamming signal which is why you need to slow quickly and release the jamming signal to allow the leo to get a speed read. That unit did not come on when it received a laser hit. It was already active. At the time I used it, no states had prohibition against laser jamming. As one person remarked, only radar jammers are illegal in all states. Only reason I haven't installed it on my C7 GS is mounting difficulty in front grill and haven't located a good place to wire thru the firewall. I just watch my speed in the states I know laser is active.

ive been checking into the antilaser priority system, it seems the overall best bit of kit but finding an installer seems a crap shoot. after years of fiddling with motorcycles (mines for sale) ill be damned if im spending almost half my weekend installing it myself. =D

ALP systems are consistently top rated no question, but very expensive. For a five head system (3 front including 1 tx and 2 rear) you're looking at about $2400. Then there is the installation cost.

i dont think we should bother with the tx on the front, its too low to the ground on this car. 3 heads on front yeah, but tx is apparently sensitive so ill probly go with 3x2.
