Default TMG Laser Jammer Installed

I installed a 5 head TMG A-15 Laser Jammer system a few weeks ago and had it tested last weekend to verify that it works, which it does. I got jam to gun with no punch thrus from about 1800 feet in and out. BTW, they are legal in my state.

I always heard jammers were a gimmick? How much did it run you? And is there anywhere one can check legality of jammers for their state? Thanks

It was about $900.

You can check whether they are legal or not in your state here https://www.vortexradar.com/2017/11/...r-jammer-laws/

1800 feet?
140 mph = 205.3 feet per second...
Light travels at 272,800 fps

Laser - instant on/instant off....

1800 feet?

Not nearly enough "safety net" for me...... I was shifting into 5th today just short of redline....

1800 feet is all we had for this road test. I've seen tests up to 3200 feet. That's pretty far.

Really?

He marked the jammer heads on the picture with a red mark so you would know where the heads were on the car. The heads are right above the red marks!

They work as soon as the see the laser. They stay on long enough for you to slow down and then you turn them off and let the radar get a reading on your speed.

Why did you stagger your sensors in front. They should just be in a line.

Congrats - looks good. While I've not seen the need to get a jammer, hope it works out well for you.

Has anyone ever ran a test prior to installing the jammers , I was told by a local leo that the new corvettes were nearly impossible to get a a good accurate reading on due to the lack of flat area on the front to aim at,especially with no front plate.
not sure what to think .

When we tested mine the lidar got my speed all the way out and all the way back with the jammer turned off.

I staggered the front right and left heads a little lower than the middle head only because it was easier to mount them there - I would have had to dremel out pretty good sized holes in the grill and plastic behind it in the upper position level with the middle. Figured I would try the lower position first and see if it worked, which it did.

I always love the guys who compare technology he used 60 years ago to what is available today.

I am not sure how a laser jammer is illegal, it is just light.
