Tacky C7 mod
In the running for worst C7 mod of the year...
"Mainly for aesthetic purpose. For actual towing, we recommend you still use the vehicle's OEM tow hook". --Yeah, no kidding.
($36 on Ebay, if you are so inclined.)

Hey look! I track my car and you can tell 'cause I got this crappy looking towing hook that would rip the front fascia off my car if I actually tried to use it!"

I used to think like that until I recently lost it off track at Roebling Road Raceway skidded into the dirt section. Could not get out. Was a nightmare to dig the dirt and then push out. If I only had front/rear tow hooks would have hooked me right up and pulled me out. And they don't screw into the bumper but a threaded welded flange that's part of the front frame assembly. Yes if you don't track it little tacky, but if you track it's absolutely worth it.

I've seen no shortage of pix of member cars with tow-hooks... of one sort or another.
One thing I've learned from all the vehicle forums I've frequented (some I still do) over the years is that one person's tacky is another's "gotta-have COOOOOOL!"

You don't like nipple rings?
Think they are the puke ejection tubes.

I see them on a lot of cars, not just Vettes. I understand their usefulness on the track, but otherwise not so much. At least the OEM version is a more subdued black and matches the grille, which looks OK, but the red just screams look at me...
