Stage 3 splitter choice
Hello,
I am looking to purchase the stage 3 front lip splitter and winglets in carbon flash for my black '19 G.S, Looked on E-Bay. Is the ABS plastic the material of choice. Is there anyone who did this mod that can either P.M me or post here if they were satisfied with their choice, which product to choose or which to shy away from, etc..
How do the winglets attach to the fender ?
Thank you in advance !

I went w/ACS for my Z06. Happy with the fit and finish.

C7Carbon is who I used. If you're doing this for looks, then Ebay is probably fine although it seems the ease of installation is hit or miss. If you intend to use the car on the race track and want full functionality then you need to go with someone who's splitter allows you to install the factory Stage 2/3 undertray. C7Carbon, ACS, and Katech come to mind. I'm not aware of any sub $600 splitters that are manufactured for the tray. In the below photo of my car you can see the undertray and if you look close you can see that it's also molded to duct air to the performance brake ducts that are mounted on the lower a-arms.

Can you explain a little about this front splitter with the tray. I thought about going this way. Are any of the factory screws used or is this all rivited on. I see the back parts uses the factory screws. Also I’m looking at this on my phone and a little hard to tell. It looks screwed on. Thanks.
The splitter itself is also attached using the factory bolts and 10 rivets, all of which is hidden under the tray. As an aside, the rivets from GM are something like $6 each. You can buy a box of 25 from ClipsandFasteners. com for $15 and they are identical to the OEM rivets.
There are three differences from the OEM splitter...
1) The winglets use bolts with nuts and washers on the backside to attach to the splitter ends. The factory splitter has threaded receivers molded into it that the winglets (Stage 2 or 3) bolt to
2) The factory Stage 2 winglets have recesses for the bolt heads...although I've heard that wasn't always true and it depended on which vendor was supplying the parts to any given car.
3) The OEM splitter is all carbon fiber. The aftermarket units are fiberglass or fiberglass with a carbon fiber top ply. This is why the aftermarket "carbon fiber" parts are so much cheaper. Some of the really low cost parts are essentially ABS plastic. This is one case where you truly get what you pay for.

I did just the C7 stage 2 and added an OEM undertray ($130 for tray and $25 for screws).

No, there is another manufacturer, I cant recall who, that offers a set up with the undertray.
I ordered my undertray from a local chev dealer who was nice enough to discount it a little off list. Buying on-line makes no sense due to shipping costs. I found a local fastener company that sells GM fasteners. The dealer wanted like $6 a screw.
