Default C7 on Chicago Fire this week

Did anyone else see this week's episode of Chicago Fire. I had a little chuckle when one of the firefighters from the other firehouse pulled up in a yellow C7 and Joe Cruz asked the owner if it had the Z51 package on it and the guy said yes, but the car had the base 18/19 wheels on it and the small base spoiler, so it clearly wasn't a Z51 car. Whoever was in charge of fact checking for the show dropped the ball

Got the show on DVR and will watch it either tonight or tomorrow night. Yeah, you would think they would get their facts straight, but it is TV.

The odd thing is they didn't even need to add that line where the guy asks him if it's a Z51 model, it was like they were trying to show off their car knowledge but failed miserably.

If I remember correctly the storyline was that the owner was a millionaire and he was a firefighter for the excitement. Ok.

A young kid millionaire at that age who doesn't have to work anymore driving a Chevy? Less believable than their faux vette.

Saw that also and laughed! If I was a millionaire I would not buy a base Stingray, but I'm not so I settled for a base Stingray

The storyline could be he was OCD and was afraid the water droplets from the fire hoses would leave spots on finish so it wasnt worth going the full ZR1. Did he park under street light or across 2 spaces?

He actually pulled the car right up to the front of the firehouse and parked it beside the bay door, something that definitely wouldn't happen in real life.

Were the sounds accompanying the car accurate?

Many shows and movies will feature a Ducati and, instead of the sound of a Ducati, will dub in the sound of a Japanese inline four. The effect is ridiculous.

He did rev the engine when he pulled in to park and to me it did sound like an LT1. That show is pretty good when it comes to stuff like that at least, the previous week's show had a Subaru WRX driving fast while following the fire truck (and then it crashed) and it was definitely that unmistakeable Subaru sound (my son has an 02 WRX )

Good, this type of accuracy is uncommon.

The Subie boxer has an amusing exhaust note; they sound like little Porsches.

My girlfriend and I watched that show the other night. I remember the Z-51 comment, but I certainly was not able to discern the diameter of the wheels and I honestly did not notice the type of spoiler. All I do know is that it was a "Stingray" because of the flying fish on the fender - and it was not a Grand Sport or Z06.

My base 2017 Stingray 2LT is also a non-Z51 car and I (personal taste) prefer the smaller spoiler. Some C7 spoilers are so big they resemble Eugene Levy's eyebrows.
