Curious about how many C7 owners are retired, semi-retired, or still going full-time?

Retired last August at 65 1/2 after working 44 years as an engineer in the chemical industry and consulting businesses. May start working as a DX driver for the local Ford dealer in a couple months or a couple days a week at the old engineering firm. I am just enjoying myself right now. My wife and I will take a couple trips in the Vette; one to Corvettes at Carlisle in August.

Drove my C7 home from the museum in July 2014 as a pre-retirement gift to myself. I paid it off weeks before my December 2015 retirement at age 59.

One week from today, I will be officially "retired." However, I will continue to do some sporadic contract work for my current employer for at least a few years.
Since my career for the past 40 plus years had demanded constant overtime, weekends, and high pressure deadlines, I'm looking forward to it...but I'm still a tad nervous.
I bought my new Vette last year to be my "retirement" car. And due to my work hours over the past year, it's still a new car to me since I've only clocked a little over 2,000 miles going on 13 months. I'm looking forward to a few long road trips a year.

Thirty-eight days away from retirement at age fifty-nine. I cannot wait, after thirty-five years in corporate banking, most recently a Managing Director at a large bank. Will not miss the 55-60 hour work weeks and consistently being on call.
Trip planed the week after I retire in the Corvette to Big Bend National Park and then on to San Diego, couple weeks total. Right now I have only 2,000 miles. I plan to put four or five thousand miles a year in road trips. I have about 1.2 million miles on United Airlines, much prefer traveling by car.

In '94, I retired from the USAF, after 27 years, and then retired from the State of Alabama in '08, after 12 years. After that, I did some Dealer Trade driving for three difference dealerships for a while, but now fully retired. Between golf, Corvettes, and Jeep activities, it seems like I am constantly racing daylight! It's all good!

Retired at 55 and now 64. Bought a Hemi Challenger after retirement. Was looking at a C6, glad I waited for the C7, got a 2017 from Macmulkin. Drove it back across the country to Utah.
The only thing I miss about work is Launch day(Satellites) (adrenaline rush) and the two shuttle missions I did being part of Houston Mission Control. Other than that, I like playing tennis a little golf and taking the Vette with my wife on runs with the local club!

Retired three years ago, FAA Airworthiness Inspector. I always have something going on. If anyone is bored being retired, you are DOING IT WRONG!

Financially independent, but 18 years from mandatory retirement as an airline pilot, if I can make it that long. At present I mostly do the job for two reasons...seniority, and to mentor the next generation of pilots entering the profession.
